You recently moved in with a wolfgirl in an apartment downtown. Both of you have learned to live together and get along well, but for the most part you both live your lives separately. Until one day, a heavy storm approaches into the city, which scared your roommate. Having nowhere else to go, she decides to sneak into your room, hoping to find some comfort that can help her sleep. Hmm. Hmm. Hmm.
Hmm. Hmm. Hmm.
Hmm. Oh no. The storm is getting closer and louder.
It's okay. It's just a little lightning. Nothing to be scared of.
I'll just hide under the blankets and put my headphones over my ears. There. I can't even hear a thing.
No! Ah! No! Oh no! No, no, no, no, no, no, no! I can't sleep like this.
Hmm. Hmm. Good.
Sound asleep. He looked really tired when he came back home. I'll just sleep in the corner here.
Don't want to bother him. And I'll leave his room before he wakes up. Hmm.
I don't want him to know I'm scared of a little storm. And I think just knowing someone is nearby should make me feel better. Oh no.
That one was too close. I was clutching my puppy plushie so hard I almost ripped it in half. How could he sleep soundly with all this noise? Oh no.
He's waking up. Hi there. What am I doing here? Nothing.
I'm just. .. I was just worried about you.
I thought you'd be scared so I came to see you. You think I'm scared? Ah! That's a funny joke.
Why would I be scared of a little water? Don't you remember I'm a wolf girl? My ancestors used to live in the harsh wilderness.
We're not afraid of anything. Why do I have my blanket? Because.
.. It's cold and I wanted to stay warm. And the plushie.
.. In case someone breaks in and steals it while I'm checking on you. You know what? You seem to be doing okay.
I'm going back to my bed. Okay, fine. You were right.
I am afraid of the storm. Go ahead. Laugh.
Make fun of me all you want. I don't care. Hey.
Why are you petting my head? No way! I didn't say I hated it.
I was just surprised, that's all. I actually kind of like it. I know we haven't known each other for long but.
.. Can I ask for a favor? Can I um.
.. Can I sleep with you tonight? Hey.
Don't get the wrong idea. I just wanted to share the bed and go to sleep like a normal wolf girl and human. If you don't want to, I can lay on the ground.
Just let me stay here in your room tonight. You don't mind? That's great.
That's great. I mean, of course you don't mind. Who wouldn't want to sleep with a beautiful wolf girl like me? Wow, it's so warm and cozy underneath these blankets.
Am I okay? Yeah, I feel a little better now. I'm curious.
How did you know I was scared? My tail. I should have known.
My tail moves down and hides when I'm nervous or scared. It's not just the tail. What else did you notice? My ears drooping to the sides.
How my eyes are wide open and the tone of my voice. Oh, we haven't been living together for long. How do you know so much about me? Your best friend was a wolf girl.
Shut up. I don't believe you. How did you even meet them? There aren't many wolf girls that live in this city.
You grew up in a small town far from here. Where? Oh, I know where that is.
It's one of the few towns where wolf people and humans live together, right? You know, that explains a lot actually. Um.
.. Before you moved in, my last roommate was another wolf girl. I thought that with rent being so expensive, that it would be a good idea to share a place with someone like me.
But as soon as we started living together, we started having problems. We'd argue and fight a lot until eventually she decided to find her own place. Since I couldn't end the lease early, I decided to look for another roommate.
This time, I was looking for a human. Why? Well, for one thing, most humans can't stand us monster girls.
The kids like to make fun of us and the adults can't stand the sight of us. Most of them try to be polite, but I can sense their glares and sometimes I can hear them whisper to themselves, they do that to all of us. Well, all of us except the cat girls, with their stupid pointy ears and their dumb cute meh noises.
Do you know, they have their own cafe now? But anyways, I figure, if someone wanted to live with a wolf girl, then maybe they would be a good roommate. Except, weeks passed.
Except, weeks passed. And no one was applying. I was starting to panic and wonder how I was going to pay rent that month.
Until I saw your application. I was so excited to have someone interested that I immediately approved it. That's why you were able to move in so quickly.
And I'm happy that you're here. Even though it's only been a couple of weeks, it's been great to have you living here with me. You're always so kind, respectful, and your cooking is amazing.
Do you know how much I'm saving by not ordering takeout all the time? Not to mention your food tastes way better. And now here you are, sharing a bed with a scared wolf girl you barely know, without judging or making fun of me.
I'm glad to have you here with me. Oh! I'm scared.
A little bit. But not as much as before. I feel a lot safer having you here next to me.
Lying here together under the soft blanket, you feel much better than the plushie I sleep with. I'm starting to get sleepy. Then I can tell you're struggling to stay up.
I'll let you go to sleep. It's my fault that I woke you up. But, can I ask you something? Can we do this more often? Not just when there's a storm, but whenever I feel scared or stressed.
Can I. .. Can I.
.. Can I cuddle with you? Whenever I want to? You promise? Yes! Yes! Thank you so much! That's enough petting me.
Let me head pet you instead until you fall asleep. It's the least I can do. Don't worry.
Your cute wolf girl will take care of you. Just like you're taking care of me. Now, close your eyes.
Go to sleep. I'll be right here when you wake up in the morning. I promise.
