You don't know me yet, and technically we would have just met, but I think the important thing to know is that I am here beside you right now in this moment and I don't know what kind of day you've had. I think sometimes it's nice if somebody just asked. If someone took just one moment to say, hey how was your day? Was it a good one? Was it bad? Maybe I'll even ask you if it was a mixed bag, and whatever answer you give me is okay.
Whatever emotion is laying just behind that veiled response, that emotion counts. You count. Maybe that there are a lot of things that you don't want to tell your family, your loved ones, maybe even your best friend in the whole wide world.
But for just one single moment, if I can provide you with even a little bit of peace for you to tell me what that real, raw, honest emotion is. ..
