Well, welcome. You look both excited and nervous. And slightly terrified.

Am I that intimidating? No? You can relax.

Please, for the next little while, let's put the formalities aside, shall we? At least, until you're told. You've never been to my private chambers before, have you? No? Well, welcome.

It's not really a lot to see, just comfortable. Nice and warm. It's the place I go when I don't want to be anywhere else, and everything else is a little too loud, you know?

Are your quarters acceptable? Have they been comfortable? Good.

And the food has been agreeable? Excellent. Being new to our program can be a little daunting, but I always strive to make sure that the accommodations and just the general atmosphere are pleasant.

So as long as that is the case and you're settling in nicely, then that's good. Let's get to why you're here tonight. Kind of why you're here in general.

You volunteered for my companionship program, correct? Good. And you are our newest volunteer.

Yes. This is our first meeting together. And that's actually what I requested.

Someone who hasn't had a whole lot of experience with me yet. See, running a country is very tiring and taxing, and it takes a lot out of me. But the real reason the companionship program exists, the real reason that you're here and the other volunteers, is because when I became Queen, I was given a choice.

You've probably heard the stories of my father and his eccentricities, correct? Yes. Well, I'll clear up the rumors.

I was given a choice. I could be Queen on my own and never marry, because running the country had to be my focus. Or I could marry and my spouse would be King and I would remain a princess.

It's not a fair choice, is it? No. I've been prepared to be Queen my entire life.

And my father passed when I was fairly young, but I knew what I wanted. But I also knew that life can be lonely, and that there are certain needs that need to be met. So the companionship program was born.

It's a little outside the box, but I'm the Queen, I can do what I want. It also stops me from forming attachments, which is what I'm not supposed to do. I can have affection for my volunteers, I can take great pleasure with them, but love is off the table, so having several of them tends to solve that problem.

Was that kind of in line with what you've heard? It's not necessarily ideal, but it allows me to take care of my country, it allows me to take care of my people, and it allows me to feel somewhat satisfied as a woman. So that's why you're here.

Tonight I'd like to play, and if you're willing, because you can always refuse, I'd like you to play with me. Is that okay? Excellent.

Now, I like to be in charge, in case you hadn't noticed. And sometimes, that's not always the case, but tonight, I like the fact that we've never been together before. I want to play.

I want to see how much pleasure I can give you before you can't take any more. Well, it is about making sure I feel good, yes, you are correct, but giving pleasure is part of what makes me happy. So it's win-win.
