Hey, sweetness. Hey, look, I've laid some clothes out on the bed for you for when you get out of the bath, okay? Alright.

You gonna be much longer? No, take your time, sweetheart. Not trying to rush you, I'm just wanting to know if I should start going and doing my own stuff or wait for you.

Okay, I'll just be out in the living room then. Come on out when you're done. Hmm? Yeah, that dress.

Uh-huh. No, I don't want you to put pajamas on. Put the dress on.

Wow. You look stunning. You are radiant.

Oh, my darling. You look incredible. Here I am, dressed up in a suit, and I suddenly feel terribly underdressed.

You are absolutely breathtaking. Yeah, I, thank you, I thought I looked nice, but wow. Darling, you are, you look stunning.

Alright, well, I know you were really disappointed tonight that the secret cinema got rained out, and I know how much you were looking forward to it. I really wanted tonight to be memorable, and it was shaping up to be memorable for a bad reason. I wanted to give it a good one.

Darling, that, that makes me so happy. I, I've, I've wanted to do something like this, but I, I, it needed to be the right, the right night, and it, and it finally is. And, and what I, um, well, what I, uh, look at me, I'm nervous as a kid at a school dance.

What I, what I really hoped was, um, look, I, sorry if this is too sappy, but I, um, I wanted to, to dance with you. I, I, I thought it might be special. Oh, I have to ask.

I thought I just did. All right. Well, I can get down on one knee.

Oh, my fair lady, how I have journeyed. I can't keep that up. I'm too big a ham.

You are my entire world. You are my inspiration, my strength, my lover. When I first met you, I knew you were someone I wanted to know better, just from the way you carried yourself, the way you interacted.

But as I got to know you, I realized I never truly experienced love before, at least not romantic love. Because what I feel for you is so much more than anything I've ever felt. My world revolves around you.

And it's the last thing I want to gaze at. As we get ready to drift off to sleep. Even the stars seem brighter in the sky since you came into my life.

And it would be my great honor to have this dance. I don't do this, you know, dance. I mean, possible.

I even tried taking a dance class one time. I did. I haven't talked about it because it didn't end well.

Seems like my best laid plans always go awry. Remember the cabin? Of course you remember the cabin.

Yeah, that leaky roof. We didn't know it was leaky until it started dripping on us in the middle of the night. That was awful.

Truly awful. Yeah, I learned, didn't I? You always got to read the reviews.

And then remember when we were on that road trip? Yeah, I'll never forget. Debated stopping for gas or driving on to the next town.

We decided we had enough gas to make it. Got to that town and that whole little tiny town had been out of power for three days. The gas pumps weren't working.

And we had about enough gas to make it halfway to the next gas station. I'm never going to forget having to send you off with that state trooper while I stayed behind with our valuables. You remember what happened? Oh, no, no, no, don't get embarrassed.

It's funny. Enough time's passed, darling. You came back with one gallon of gas and said that was the only size gas can they had.

So I asked you why you didn't buy two. Oh, darling, it's funny. We coasted into the next town on fumes, made it to the gas station.

We'd only lost about three hours. Remember that time I was giving you a ride to the airport? I woke you up at 3am thinking that you'd overslept and we needed to get out the door.

And I was off by 12 hours. Your flight was leaving that afternoon. These are the kind of things, my darling, you put up with so well.

The silly things that I would rather go through with you than with anyone else. None of it is impossible when you're at my side. And nothing can even touch me when you're in my arms.

I never want this to end. Because I have to. I suppose I do have to work tomorrow, don't I? But this is so right.
