Hello, hello, hello again, everybody. I feel like I have to come up with a better way to start these little random rambles out. I always say hello, don't I? I mean, what else am I gonna say, right? Oh well.

It feels repetitive, though. I record these like a month apart, but some of you guys, I'm sure, if you're scrolling down for the first time, listen to them back to back. So I hope the way I say hello doesn't get repetitive, doesn't get boring.

Even though in the last one, someone said there's something special about the way I said hello. Say hello. Thank you.

I'll. .. What am I trying to say? I don't have as much time for this one as I do on some of them, because I have to go stream.

And I should not cancel a stream I've been either not streaming or just streaming Baldur's Gate. Oh, fuck off, TikTok. Instead of Vampire the Masquerade, so I feel like I shouldn't do that and should actually just suck it up and play more Vampire the Masquerade.

But god, I just love Baldur's Gate so much, it's so hard to not play it. Oh well, Parliament of Knives is very good, too. And if you have no idea what I'm talking about, you can just click the little link of all of my links at the top of my Ocleo page to find my Twitch where I stream.

I try to do it three times a week, Monday, Wednesday, Friday. And I know the time I do it is not easy for a lot of people to make it, sorry. But I gotta do that in like 20 minutes, so I'll see if I can manage to be concise.

Spoiler alert, I won't. Never been able to do that, but I don't know. I never even have an agenda for these things anyways.

Some people did ask a few questions. There was one in the last random ramble that my answer is probably going to be really underwhelming for. Jay asked if I could design a theme park based off of my audios.

I don't know if I can. I. ..

Some of you might not like hearing this, but the painful truth is that I just don't like theme parks very much. I don't know. I'm not a huge fan of amusement park rides.

I'm not much of a physical thrill seeker, if that makes sense. Not in that sense. I've gone on a few roller coasters.

I've gone on a few scarier rides, but I don't know. There's nothing. ..

I don't chase that kind of adrenaline that you get from like, whoa, my body was a few inches away from being yeeted into fucking oblivion there. I'm going to do it again. So I've really only been to amusement parks when I was much younger for someone like my friend's birthdays, I think.

I have memories of like one or two in particular. And then everything else in an amusement park costs a lot of money, like all the little carnival games and everything. I think I'd rather go to a Ren Faire.

I'm sorry. I hope that's not like too, too painful of an answer, but I don't know if I could design a theme park based off of my audios. I don't even know where I would begin with that.

It's a very amusing question, but yeah, sorry about that. That somebody else also asked on Telonym, where you can ask me questions anonymously, like actually completely anonymously. It always teases me with this little, hey, if you pay for Telonym, you'll be able to get a hint as to who sent you this message.

And I'm pretty sure 50% of the time it's a message from a bot anyways, and also I'm not going to, I'm not going to pay Telonym, I don't. .. The point is that it is anonymous, right? I don't even know what kind of a hint it would give me.

I don't think it would help at all. This is somebody who sent me this message at 2.30 a.m. Great, very useful.

I have no idea what kind of hints they give me, but ah. What did you say again? You said you would love to know the man behind the voice, my inspirations, and where I see myself in 10 or 5 years.

That's quite a lot. I guess by listening to little things like this, though, you get to know me better. I like to think so.

That's the point of why I did them, is so that I'm not just this enigma that posts audios online and could very well not be an actual person at all. I don't think that's so much an issue now, I think someday in the future it might be. But my inspirations is.

.. that's a good one. It's something I get asked, I don't know, quite a fair amount, but it makes sense.

It's like asking your favorite author where they get their inspirations from. I'm sure they hear it all the time, but I'm also sure. ..

I'm sure some of them are a bit snobby and, I don't know, get annoyed at answering the same thing, but I'm sure a lot of them don't. I like to believe that authors that write good books are good people, but I know some of them aren't. Yikes.

Oh well. Not diving into that rabbit hole. My inspirations, I have a lot of them.

I guess the easiest one is just like ASMR videos on YouTube, honestly. I always. ..

I guess I'd been watching them for a very long time, but in a way I always found myself kind of drawn back to more of like the roleplay scenario ones, where there's more going on than just a pair of hands picking up a wooden block and clicking it together. For me, something about like seeing the person and there being a character and something that they're like actively doing, whether or not it's like an actual plot or just a situation or something. I was always drawn to those a little bit more, which might be in part why I don't just make like, I don't know, just ramblefaps or something.

I know there's some creators that do and they do well for themselves, but I think I would get bored with myself if I tried to do something like that. Another big inspiration is literally every book I've ever read. As I've been making more and more audios, especially over the past year and a half really, I've gone from kind of one-off situations to more ongoing plotlines and recurring characters and stuff.

And I'll be honest, I do that more for me than for you guys. I'm very happy that you guys tend to enjoy it. But the plot is there because it's fun for me to write.

I enjoy writing stories and stuff. And I think I would have given up a while ago if all I was doing was writing sex scene after sex scene to voice act that. So I'd say the biggest inspiration for what I do is books.

I actually made a little joking TikTok about it. And probably part of, I don't know if I can even say inspired, but we're really greatly helped me with creating these audios and everything is that I used to do endless hours upon hours of just erotic roleplay online. And I lost probably two Skyrims worth of time doing that, or more, God, honestly.

But your second question of where do I see myself in 10 or 5 years is a bit harder. I don't know. I feel like we're living in a time of a great technological and just futuristic uncertainty in general.

I think there's a lot of things that I would like to be doing in five years, but there's always like a little part of me in the back of my mind that has some doubts about it. Obviously I'd like to be able to just do this full time, but not just, not just make audios. I feel like I won't stop making them.

That's for sure. If I didn't have fun, I wouldn't be making them. So I enjoy what I do.

So I don't plan on stopping doing it. But I'm also, I started writing like a actual novel a couple months ago. I'm not very far at all.

This past month has been a bit chaotic and each day I feel like hours somehow just disappear and suddenly it's time for bed again. And I accomplished like one of the five things that I had thought I could do in that day. So I think I still have under like 10,000 words on that out of what will be a very long book.

And it's only the first draft as well. But I've always enjoyed writing a lot. So I think I'd like to, I don't know, publish a book, maybe publish two in five years, ten years.

I don't know how long a book takes to publish. A very long time. I guess in part that depends on if I could work freelance full-time because then I'd have a bit more like flexibility and free time on my schedule.

So maybe that's where I see myself in five years is one book published, doing freelance everything full-time, whether it is a mixture of erotic audio streaming on Twitch and writing or some other stuff. Ten years is a lot harder to think about in the future though. Because if I think about ten years ago, I don't know, I guess at the age of 16 I always thought that at the age of 26 you were like a full-blown adult, had been working your regular boring office job for many years and were ready to settle down with kids and have a house and everything.

And God, all of that is just very wrong. So life now is so completely different from how I think I ever expected or pictured it to look from ten years ago that, I don't know, I don't know if it's fair for me to try to make plans for ten years in the future from now. Ideally, I'd like to see myself financially stable, happy, and healthy.

I don't know if I could ask much more than that. That all sounds pretty good to me. So maybe that's where I'll leave it with that one.

I only have a very little bit of amount of time left. I know this is only ten minutes in but I kept pausing and deleting stuff because I would just sit there and say um like six times over the course of two minutes without anything else or I'd go off on some weird little tangent that I realized made no sense. It's one of those days.

I did not sleep great. I got a little, not a little, it's full grown, but a one year old cat for my slightly older grumpier cat thinking that they'd be nice and happy and play together and it would get rid of my older cat's zoomies so that I could record in peace a little more without him whacking at my leg and meowing. And while that has happened, I greatly underestimated the energy of a one year old cat.

And I'm kind of exactly in the same situation just with a little bit more midnight zoomies. He also hasn't quite grasped the idea of don't walk on people's faces so when he jumps up into the bed sometimes I will like feel a ten pound little chimpkin land on my throat and that's not pleasant. But they are getting along very well and it makes me very happy and they're like, I don't know, little cuddly brothers.

It's very cute even if I am a little tired. But before I go, I feel like I haven't said a lot and that's too bad. So I should, I should talk a little bit about what is to come because I didn't realize it till after I posted and saw some people talking about it that, first of all, there's probably a lot of you guys that don't know who the fuck this Strahd is that I made this little audio poll about.

And I'm sure there's also some people out there who hear the term D&D and their brain kind of like shuts down and they just block out whatever is to come so I hope I didn't lose any followers to that. But I will start by saying I'm sure at this point, come on, most people have probably heard of D&D at least. Critical Role and Matt Mercer made it really popular.

But I feel like a lot of people really don't get the right impression of exactly what it is because of a lot of popular media portrayals. So just think of it as like the ultimate imagination game. In theory every one of my audios could take place in D&D and if it helps at all, in my mind the entire Curse of Extempore audio series that I'm making is Dungeons and Dragons.

It's like literally taken from a Dungeons and Dragons adventure that I wrote as one of my horny RP escapades, I fucking came up with an entire smutty D&D adventure and then I turned it into a normal D&D adventure to play with my friends and now I'm turning it back into a smutty D&D adventure. So let that help a little bit, right? All you have to think about is that for the most part it's usually a medieval fantasy world and from there you can do quite literally whatever the fuck you want.

That's part of the point of D&D. But then I went ahead and made this poll with, oh god, barbarian, bard, cleric, jasper, what the fuck are you doing? What is a warlock? Why do I care? What do I click on here? Who is Baldur's Gate and what is a curse? I get it, don't worry.

Back before I played D&D, and I've even seen some people react to it, they just don't know what it is, but I think given the right group of people, and maybe that right group of people is me between your legs, that D&D can be a game for anybody. And I think it can really ruin the experience to have the wrong group of people. So if that happened to you, I'm sorry.

But long story short, as I said, for those who aren't familiar with D&D, don't worry, in the end you'll still end up with a dark, dangerous vampire, and that is very true. I think, I feel like in another random ramble I gave a little introduction of just who Strahd is. But I'll give another one.

This is supposed to be one of the most famous, it's. .. The Curse of Strahd is to D&D as the Phantom of the Opera is to Broadway.

I think that's a fair comparison. It is one of the longest running D&D adventures. It is a gothic horror story.

It has a mysterious dark villain who is strikingly seductive, just like the Phantom. And I think if you'd like one, you'd like the other. So I've been preparing to play it with a group of my friends, and the more I've read it, the more I had this realization of like, my god, this Strahd guy is actually who Dracula in the original Bram Stoker should have been.

But if I have any Bram Stoker fans out there, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I have to say it though. After the introduction, Bram kind of dropped the ball, and it just wasn't the same. The first bit in the castle, that was great.

That was awesome. That was a good book. But after that, the original Dracula kind of fell off a little bit, and we had ancient old Van Helsing.

I thought that was kind of an interesting, I can't even say interesting twist, that must have been the original Van Helsing, right? It's the twists that made him younger and a monster hunter instead of some old guy that heard about the stories his grandmother would tell him, if I'm remembering that correctly. Anyways.

Think of this as like the ultimate, maybe not the one I'm making, I'm trying to make my own interpretation of it, and I'm hoping it'll be good. But what I'm getting it from, what I'm basing it off of, is like the ultimate Dracula story. The dark, dangerous vampire who lives up in his massive castle, mostly alone.

Who is insanely manipulative, narcissistic, and just plain evil. That doesn't make him sound very good. I actually realized this is the first audio in quite a while I'm writing where the main character is, the main character being the one I'm voicing, is objectively bad.

Like I'm sure he has some redeeming qualities, but trust me, this is, it's not a guy you want in the long term. Maybe for the one night bangeroo, but try to get him out of your mind quick. Although Strahd's goal would be to stay there forever.

I shared a little snippet of the script, which I can share here actually, I should post it on Alclia, what am I thinking? But some people actually said that it sounds a lot like Lestat from Interview with a Vampire. I've only seen the movie, and I fucking love that movie.

But I think that's a pretty fair comparison, it's, imagine if you took Lestat and mixed it with Card, the vampire from my previous audio, and I think that's kind of what we get with Strahd, is, well, except with a lot more power, he's very, I don't know, I don't even know how to like phrase it without spoiling anything, he's very strong, I'd say stronger than Lestat or Card. I think it'll be good, I think you'll enjoy it, and god, off topic again, I'm gonna be a little late to my stream, oops, sorry, but the poll, you don't really have to worry about too much. I thought it would be fun for any of my fellow D&D nerds out there, I say that with affection because I am painfully one, I've been reading a fucking rule book every night in a row for the past week to try to prepare for running a campaign.

I thought it'd be fun to post something like this, and all you really need to know is because Fighter won, there's no way to close Ocleo polls, by the way, so you can keep voting if you want, but I'm already writing the script, and Fighter is in the top at 16%, which is a lot more divided than I expected it to be, but Fighter is in the top at 16%, so somebody said they kind of pictured it as like a Bran from Tarth, or Bran of Tarth, god, it's been so long since I've read or watched Game of Thrones, you know, the big woman, the big knightly woman in Game of Thrones. If you know Game of Thrones, you know exactly who I'm talking about, I might have mispronounced her name, and I think that's fair, but a knight, Jesus, a knight, a fighter in D&D, a fighter is a knight, more or less. So that is who you are, you are, well, not quite a knight.

You want to be a knight, and you are stuck in this strange and foreign land with a kind of mismatched group of other adventurers that you don't know very well. I guess I could give just like, you know, a little teasing, a little bit of an introduction, it'll happen in like the first 30 seconds of the audio anyways. And after you've, you know, met up with this band of other adventurers, you've explored this new area that you seem to somehow be stuck in, surrounded by mists with this dark gloomy tower of a castle looming overhead, you've gone and retired for the night into your little tavern, walked upstairs, but the door to the room that you were specifically given a key to is slightly ajar and the fire's already on, and in the corner you can see a shadow being cast by someone, and the window up against the wall is open, just a crack, maybe enough for a bat to have gotten in, but definitely not enough for a human.

And you feel a sense of dread, but also excitement, because while you walk in there and you know that the man in front of you is this same kind of tyrantial, is that a word? Tyrant? Tyrantial? Ruler of the people that every townsfolk you've encountered has complained about, they call him the devil, the demon, terrible words, and while you know that he is responsible for all of their suffering, it's obviously him you can tell just by looking at him, he's He's also unexpectedly handsome in kind of a, almost like a monster way, but if you're here listening to my audios, and if you liked all of my audios, you, I'm sorry to say it, you like fucking monsters, alright, there's no easy way to put that, not necessarily like big strange minotaurs or whatever, I'm sure people are into that, but slightly something more dangerous than human, maybe?

Anyways, I gotta go read a vampire story on stream, so I'll leave you with that little image of what is to come. And you walk into your room with your big longsword slung over your shoulder, taking off your armor because you're going to lay down for the night, but you wonder if maybe you should leave it on seeing this guy there, although really you know that if he wanted something, the armor really would fold like paper. Anyways, I will go, and go stream my little vampire story, and if you want to come listen that would be awesome, or if you just want to repeat that little bit that I said over and over again that would also be awesome as well.

So thanks for listening to another random ramble by your host, FadeByNight, that's me! And I'll keep posting this separated out audio, some people seem to like that a lot, but it also shouldn't be too long before you see the next big audio, and then you will know just who the hell Strahd is, and hopefully you'll be a little excited about the idea that the next two audios to come after this one are continuing that same story. I will see you for now, so ta ta!
