Meeting the Boss

Hey, come on in, and close the door. I only have a few minutes before my next meeting. As the latest addition to the team, I want to personally welcome you to the company.

I've heard a lot about you. You have a reputation for breaking the rules, and I like that. Come here, sit in this chair.

I'm going to walk around and lean on the edge of my desk and you tell me where your colorful reputation comes from. Interesting. You can't tell me, or you won't.

I'm sure making that breakthrough in quantum energy transference doesn't have anything to do with it. You're intimidated. Well, that at least I can work with.

I'm going to lean towards you as I remind you of why you're here. Why I hired you. Close your eyes.

Close them and feel what I'm about to do. Feel my hand pulling your hair at the roots. Just a small amount of pressure.

It's the kind of pressure I only apply to certain kinds of people. The kinds of people who feel things viscerally. These people follow their feelings and liberate themselves with them.

When I say that I only hire rock stars, I mean it. But let me tell you something. I look for more than just outward confidence.

I look for certain rebellious qualities. Those that can walk through a room with secrets that would shame any normal person. Those that with a little bit of a push would shine like a beacon.

So, here's what I'm going to say. If you are short on confidence. If you feel stuck and need me to give you a kick in the ass.

Come here and let me remind you of why you are alive. Fuck the science. Fuck expectations.

I want you to feel alive. To feel seen. Why you are here changing the world.

And this is what is happening little one. We are going to change everything. There's a world of people out there waiting for you.

And it all starts right here. This is about getting to the core of it. The core of love, of connection, of inspiration.

This is why we do what we do. This is why we are successful. This is what it's really about.

The inspiration will come, I promise. You can choose to come back once a month, once a week, or every day. And we will revisit this each time.

Okay? Alright. I'm going to let go of your hair now.
