Thanks to @tolea1989 for this script! SYNOPSIS Feeling lonely for whatever reason, this is your chance to take time for yourself. Sit back and listen. Listen to all the reasons that make incredible and deserving of these sweet words and know this: You aren't alone…..
Hey. I'm guessing you're feeling alone too. I mean, you must be.
You clicked on this audio. It's okay. It's partly why I wanted to do this.
Often around this time of year, people get together with families and spend an obscene amount of money, eat lots of food, and fight over the last chocolate. But what if maybe you don't have anyone? Perhaps they live far away, or have since passed.
Maybe you don't have a good relationship with them. Whatever the case may be, you feel alone. You don't need me to remind you of that.
But I just wanted to let you know that no matter your reasons, for the next ten minutes, I'm right here with you. For the next ten minutes, you're not alone. The winter months used to be some of my favorite months, especially the holidays.
But right now, it feels colder, a little empty. I don't profess to know your situation, or whatever you're going through. It could be anything.
Maybe you just don't like cold weather. That's okay too. You see, you are a star in a giant universe.
You shine bright so that people on Earth can see you. I understand it can be lonely, isolating. It makes you feel like the grief you had before losing something intensifies.
But you know what? The fact you clicked this audio tells me just how strong you are. You are so strong, and it's okay to not want to be joyful right now.
Take a deep breath for me. And then breathe out. And again.
Then out. That's very good. Now I want you to put your hand on your chest.
Do you feel your heartbeat? Okay. You feel that beat, pulsing blood through your veins? That right there is proof you are alive, and that you have a reason to live.
With each heartbeat, it is making your blood pump through your entire body. It's enough to keep you alive. Something so small that it can fit into the palm of your hands is the very thing keeping your brain alive, keeping your mind alive.
There is a reason you are still alive, even if you've not yet found that reason. It's out there, and it starts with you appreciating who you are. You are incredible.
You are talented. You are kind and loving. You are human.
We all have flaws and weaknesses, and we all feel lonely, at least at some point in our lives. And the fact that you are doing your best and still here, you should be proud. I know I am proud of you.
You've taken time out of your day to take time for you. You deserve all the kindness, and I know sometimes it might seem hard or impossible, but you are going to do incredible things. You have so much to give in this world, and your story isn't over yet.
You are going to meet new people who end up meaning so much to you. You are going to make some mistakes, and you are going to learn from them. You are going to grow.
You are going to be the best version of yourself, and one day you will find someone. You will find someone to grow with, to learn with, and to love, and be loved. You won't always feel alone, I promise you.
When you find those friends and family you choose for yourself, your life is going to feel so enriched that you will look back on today and think, you know, they were right. So right now, when you're feeling lonely, when the world feels like a scary place, take some time to reflect, to feel your feelings, to be human, and then do something you've always wanted to do. It can be something small, learning a new language, taking up art, writing poetry, anything that you want to do, you can put your brilliant mind to.
Forget anyone who said you can't do this, or you won't be able to. You can learn. That's the most incredible thing about being human, is the power to learn.
To keep at something until you can do it. To fail and try again and again until you get it right. Obviously there might be some limits, for whatever reason.
You can still learn something else. You can focus on something you're good at. The possibilities are endless.
Life is full of learning experiences, and yeah, you might fail, but it's better to try and fail than to never try at all. Find things that make you smile. It could be reading a book you enjoy, playing a video game that captivates you, taking up art, sewing, crafting.
You will meet people who like the same things. You will meet important people, new friends, new families, a community that wants to see you thrive. And when you do learn to love yourself, then you're open to someone else loving you.
And maybe that person might even grow with you. Maybe they can show you that you can love the parts of yourself you find hard to love. Life is fleeting, and anything can happen, but if you walk with kindness and light in your life, then you are truly worth living.
You're already growing. You are worth caring about. You are worth every bit of happiness.
Be kind to yourself, and then shine that warmth and kindness outwards, and know that you are an incredible human. Yes, bad things happen. Life is unfair.
It's going to rain sometimes, but it's about dancing in the rain until you're laughing, unafraid of being wet. It's about climbing a mountain and taking in the journey that it took you to get there. It's not how fast you get there, or even if you get there.
It's the people you meet along the way, the friends that last a lifetime. The journey of life, adventure, captivating beauty that is living. You.
Yes, you. You matter in this world, and to have a world without you in it? Well, that would be duller without your light shining through.
So even though it's the holidays, and things seem a little dark, do one good thing for yourself, and then one good thing for someone else. Remember, you are a light in this world. Your smile is worth seeing.
Your heart is worth knowing. Go forth and shine. Spread love, light, and kindness, and know that no matter how bad it gets, no matter what gets thrown at you, you are still here.
You belong here. So I leave you with this. You are not alone, even though it can feel like it sometimes.
There is always going to be someone whose life is all the more enriched in knowing you. It gets better. You will look back one day and be so proud of yourself at the fact you chose to live, you chose to fight, and you will always matter.
Sending you all the love and light to help you on this journey. You've got this, and the days you don't, you are still going to have this. So be like a phoenix rising from the ashes, and come back fighting even stronger.
As long as you have kindness and love coursing through your veins, you will overcome anything. Take care, sweet one. And remember to come back when you need a little reminder of how incredibly invaluable you truly are.
