Hey there, sweetheart. No, you come right in. I was just preparing dinner for us.

How was your day? Really? Oh, well that doesn't sound too good.

Seems like you had a really rough day, right? Yeah, I can see it in your eyes. Here, hold on.

Let me just clean this off really quick. And here, come on. Let's go to the couch.

I'll tell you about my day and you tell me about yours. And I'll give you a foot massage while we do that. How does that sound? Good, good.

Go over there. I'm going to bring you something too, okay? I'll be right there in a minute.

Here we are. Here's some fresh cucumber water. I know you're not that in love with it, but it'll help you.

It will really hydrate you. If I'm correct, you didn't drink enough water today, did you? Of course you didn't, but it's okay.

There you go. Now. ..

All right, right here. Put your feet. There you are, okay.

And now I want you to tell me how your day really was, okay? And then I'll tell you the things that I did, all right? So tell me.

Tell me about everything. I remember. Right.

Yeah, I remember you telling me that, of course. I mean, they're always kind of stupid, aren't they? They are stupid.

Compared to you, everyone is. You're outstanding. You outshine them in every parts of the job.

So it's only natural they'd be envious of you, okay? Even if they don't show it or say it straight to your face. They are envious because you're too good.

You're perfect. No, I know you have your imperfections, sweetheart. That's not what I'm saying.

What I'm saying is, compared to everybody else, you're just way too good at your job, all right? We can agree on that, can't we? Exactly.

Okay. Well, things I did today. I did the clothes.

I washed the clothes. I dried the clothes. Then I put the clothes away.

After that, I made sure that basically every surface in the house was dusted and wiped down. I used the antibacterial wipes that I like. That's why there's that light lemon scent in the air right now.

Yeah, there you go. Exactly. So I cleaned all of that.

Then I did all the dishes. I put the dishes away. After that, I took the dog outside.

After that, what did I do after that? You know my memory sometimes is a little bit crappy, so I apologize for that. I did something else very important.

Oh, I took the car. I took the car out. I got that thing fixed.

Yeah, I got that fixed. Then after that, I made sure that all of our appointments for this week, all the double dates and everything that we have with everyone, everything is on the alarm for our phones and on the calendar. Then I went out and got some groceries, came back, and that's why I was preparing dinner.

But I saw how exhausted you were. You had a rough day, I could tell. So you needed this foot rub and for us to talk, and that's why we're here now.

But this is just the beginning. After I'm done with this foot rub, I'll get back to finishing dinner. But before I do that, I'll draw you up a bath, let you have a bath while I finish dinner, and after that, we'll sit down together, have dinner, and then we can just sit on the couch, maybe pop some wine, and watch whatever show you want to watch.

Because all I want to do is hold you in my arms and just stay there and just stay there with you. How does that sound? Good? Good.

All right, baby. Come on, I'll draw you up that bath, okay? Come on, let's go.
