So, what you're saying is that you don't know what type of pet you want to get? I mean, Little Feather, whatever you want, I will absolutely get for you. Whatever you want, it does not matter.

Can you think of anything that you'd like? I mean, I'm partial to a dog, but. ..

If you don't want one, then we'll get whatever you'd like. However, I do gotta say that you know how I feel about cats. Cats and birds, they don't really have a good track record, if you know what I mean.

But that doesn't mean that I wouldn't try to get a cat with you, as long as it's what you like, you know? For you, I'll get a hundred cats. But anyways, let's go back to that.

What do you really think would be the best pet that you've always wanted? Actually, close your eyes right now. Envision yourself coming home from work, and suddenly, you see your pet.

What is it? Go. Don't think about it, just answer.

Go. Okay, alright, there you go, yeah. That doesn't sound bad at all.

I mean, then again, they're a lot of upkeep, aren't they? And you think you'd be ready for that level of commitment, to really be able to take care of this pet? You think we're up to that, yeah? Well, if you think we got what it takes, then I trust you, and I think you're right.

Besides, we're at home, you're at home, most of the time, and I think about it, I'm actually not at home that much, but, I'd be willing to try to be here more, at least in the beginning. I want to make sure we get them, you know, as little babies. It'll be our little baby, right? Until we make our own babies? Yeah, no, I'm just kidding, sweetheart.

Whenever you think you're ready for that, then we'll have that conversation. But for now, that's fine. Oh, I just thought of something.

What about a little bird? Do you like birds? Well, that's actually a pretty dumb question, isn't it? Yeah, I know you like birds, or at least this bird.

But yeah, birds are a lot more of an upkeep, I guess. Either way, I mean, whatever you decide, I'm sure you're going to take care of it very well. And I only say you because, well, based on the track record of all the job I've been having to do, I am going to be gone a lot, and we know how lonely that can get.

I'm sorry about that. That's why I want you to get one. I want you to have somebody here with you.

Someone to give you company when I'm not around. I don't want you to keep feeling so alone. Nevertheless, so, you really think that would be the best? Yeah? Well, that sounds really good.

Now I don't want to decide right away. It is a really big decision, and I want to make sure that we're really sure about it before we take one in, you know? Is there any other pet you can think of that you'd like? Just to make sure that we've covered all our bases, and we've picked the right one for us.

No? Hmm. I guess not.

I mean, you wouldn't want to get a snake or something, right? Well, maybe. Fine.

They're really silly noodles, aren't they? They have a little charm to them, but then again, birds and snakes, not a real good combination. Yeah, I know, I know.

Well then, let's just think about this more. Let's give it a week, see how we feel with the one we've chosen right now. If we're fine with it, then we'll move ahead.

How does that sound, Little Feather? Yeah? Hmm.

You're going to be a wonderful mom to whatever pet we decide to get. I know this. They're going to be very lucky to have you and have this home.

I'm so excited. I'm excited to do this with you. I'm glad we're here.
