Mm-hmm. Yeah, I already started mixing the mix up. I already started mixing the brownies.

Yeah, I didn't want to wait for you. Yeah, you know, sometimes you take like a year. Oh, yeah, you definitely do.

But, um, yeah, so just set that down there. Actually, can you get me out the, um, can you turn the oven on? I forgot to preheat it.

Okay, good. Yeah, it's, um, 375? Yeah, yeah, 375.

Mm-hmm. What'd you say? Oh, okay, I see.

Yeah, um, what else did you get from the store? Um, I see like a couple of bags and I don't think you need that for, um, eggs. Okay, oh, you got some more stuff for, um, our little movie night, huh? Yeah, yeah, it's been a while since we've, uh, done one of these.

Yeah, you know, life. But, um, yeah, I've been pretty, I've been, I've been pretty busy, um, but I've gotten to a point where like I'm not so busy anymore, which is great because, you know, it's not really fun to be busy 24-7, um, like feeling very overwhelmed. Yeah, no, no, it's not a big deal.

Um, I just was working on a couple of big projects, but I got them done, and yeah, so, um, so what about you? You know, um, I think the last, uh, we like saw each other, you were working on, um, this, um, this big project as well. Did you, how did that go? Oh, you had to do a presentation.

How was that? Oh, it went good. Good.

No, I didn't doubt you, per se, but I mean, I wasn't that, um, okay, I'm kidding, I'm kidding, I'm kidding. I knew that you would do good. I mean, you usually do, you know, put to the test.

You typically do a good job, so I figured you'd be, um, you'd be pretty good at it. So, can congrats, or, you know, congratulations for finishing, or, I don't know, I'm proud of you, I guess. Get to your head, mister, you know, you're still, you know, you're still the bane of my existence.

Yep, yep, the bane, the very bane. Oh, okay, the oven's done preheating, so now, we can pour this into the, okay, wait. Actually, can you hand me, um, a little bit of oil? Yeah, there's this little, um, there's this little trick that I do.

You, um, get a little smidgen of oil, and you pour it into the pan, and you put it in the oven for just, like, a minute or so to let the oil kind of, like, heat up a bit. And then, you take it out, and you kind of like, you know, tilt the pan around to spread the oil around. But see, what it does is, um, a bit more moist, whether or not, and they don't stick, um, to the edges or anything.

It also just makes it, um, like, also the edges a bit, uh, a bit crispier. Um, so yeah, I figured, yeah, yeah, I found that, um, I just tried that one day, and then I started doing it every time, and it made such a big difference in the quality of the brownies, so, yeah. Um, but, okay, we can just, um, yeah, we wait for that to be done, to melt a little bit.

How did that, um, how did that date go? Yeah, yeah, I remember you telling me about that. How could I forget? You were very excited for it.

Oh, it didn't go so well? I'm sorry. What happened if you don't mind me asking? Mm-hmm.

Mm, okay, I see, I see. And no, yeah, no, that makes, that makes sense. I mean, if you you know, they can be a really nice person, but if you just felt like it, you know, you didn't feel a connection there, that's perfectly okay.

You know, it's actually a good thing that, like, the both of you, like, talked about it, at least. You know, some people just you know, they just run for the hills instead of, you know. But, uh, yeah, you know, it's a good thing that you guys talked about it, and you know, um, that you were, that you didn't try to force something that wasn't there, you know, leading either of you on.

So, yeah, that's yeah, me. I think it's, I think I, it's, yeah, it's time to take this out, this pan out of the oven. No, okay, I'm not changing the subject.

I'm not, okay? I just, we need to pour the brownie mix into the pan so that we can, that the brownies can be done, okay? Mm-hmm, yeah.

Here, um, grab the, um, the spoon. Yeah, um, can you, like, I'm gonna pour it in there, but, like, the excess, will you, like, scrape it into there? Into the pan? Okay, yeah.

Okay. Okay. So now, I'm gonna put this in the oven, and um, set a, uh, timer.

Um, I set it on, um, set it on, yeah, I set it just, I just set it on my phone. Okay, for, what's that, 20, about 20 minutes. Yeah, okay, about 20 minutes, and, okay.

Timer is set, so now, we can, um, what do you wanna do? Okay, fine. Fine, I'll answer your question.

Um, I have not been dating. Um, I wouldn't really say it's unfortunate, but I haven't been. Yeah, yeah, the, um, yeah, the, that guy from before, he's nice, um, but we, we both kind of agreed that it, you know, kind of like your situation, there wasn't really much of a connection and, you know, we didn't wanna, I didn't wanna leave him on, he didn't wanna leave me on, and so we just mutually, you know, decided not to, um, even though there was, like, you know, that little bit of thing going, that, whatever that was going on.

I just feel like me and him are just way better as friends, and yeah, we are, so we've just been, you know, we've just been hanging out, but we haven't been, like, dating or anything. Um, well, yeah, um, I've been hanging out with him, but why? Why do you, why do you look like that? Are you, are you jealous? No, no, you're totally, you're totally jealous.

No, I didn't, I didn't replace you, okay? You're still my number one guy, my number one best friend, I just, I hmm, we just, we've been busy, you've been busy, I've been busy, and we just hadn't had time to hang out, and me and him were hanging out, but it doesn't, I didn't ditch you, okay? You're still, you're my favorite person ever, okay? I'm only gonna tell you this once, so don't let it go to your head, but I really care about you, okay?

I'm not gonna go ditching you for someone else, got it? Okay, good. Hmm.

You know, it's okay, I know that I'm like the most perfect specimen of a human ever to exist, and you know, you want me all for yourself, you know? Mm-hmm, yeah, yep, you know, I'm just so awesome that you can't, can't control yourself, like you just you just, you know, you can't fathom the thought of me hanging out with anyone other than you. Hmm.

Oh, oh, okay, that was one time, one time, and yet you're still bringing it up. Yeah, I, okay, fine, I hmm. No, it's not, I was, I wasn't ever jealous, okay? I just, I just didn't think that, you know, it was gonna work between the two of you.

You liked her, and, and she liked you, so if you, if you wanted to date, you know, that's perfectly that was perfectly okay with me. What? You never liked her? No, no, you totally, I mean you, you guys spent a lot of time together, um, especially when you and I were kind of on the the rocky end, um, so I I thought that you liked her then.

You didn't? Oh. But it just was that, you know, um, everyone else was saying that, well, you had said you liked someone at that time and so if it wasn't her, then who was it?

Oh, you can't tell me? I mean, you can tell me, you're just choosing not to. Um, no, I didn't, I wasn't treating you differently because you and her were whatever you guys were I just, well okay, yeah, yeah, I was, I was jealous.

I just I felt like well, I felt like she was taking my spot or something I mean, you guys were spending a lot of time together and that was around the time that you and I were going through that really awful fight about you know, yeah, you know, and I just, I thought that you wanted to be with her and I just felt like you were pushing me away and so I pushed you away. Yeah. Yeah, so, yeah, I was jealous.

That feels really strange to admit but also relieving, I don't know. Do you do you want to sit down while we wait? Yeah, yeah, let's head to the to the living room, sit down or something so we're not just standing in the kitchen the whole time Okay, um, yeah, come on Uh, no, I I, um, I didn't I didn't know that, yeah, I didn't know I was going to ask you about that I ended up not being around to it I had heard that you were going on well, that they were planning a trip and I wasn't sure if you were going to go because I think you had said something about an exam that you would be taking and I figured it was around that time.

Oh, okay, you took it early Oh, okay, that's, that's good Yeah, that's great, so you're going to come though Cool, cool. I mean, yeah, it'll be nice having you there. It's kind of sometimes it's kind of a bore without you Yeah, yeah, no.

No, I love our friends, I do I just, I also, you know, love hanging out with you and so it just, you know, I don't It would be fun if you were there, so, you know, the fact that you're going with us now is very awesome, very cool Very, um, very fetch Yeah, yeah, I know, I know, it's so Yeah, I will stop trying to make fetch happen No, actually, I will try to make fetch happen It's happened, it's happening, it will happen It is happening, um, I don't really know what I'm trying to say Um, yeah Uh Yeah, yeah, I have been, I have been I have been busy, but I am really happy that I'm done being busy, and I'm happy that you're done being busy, and I'm super happy that we can, um hang out again, and I can torment you, because I absolutely love tormenting you. I mean, I mean I'm not really, I, I'm, you know, in like these little, silly little pajamas that, you know, the matching ones that we have, it's nothing, they like I like have like my glasses on, and I, I don't Well, I don't feel particularly pretty right now Um, but, thank you, you, you look, um, you look very spiffy yourself with those, um, with these matching pajamas that we have Yeah, you look, you look, um, you look very, very very attractive, I'm sure all the, all the ladies will come knocking on your door Yep, yep, they sure will, they sure will But they'll, um, they'll have to get a screening through me first, of course Yep, yep, all the guys that come to me are gonna have to get a screening through you too, yeah, yeah, I figured, I figured Gotta have, um, the best for my best friend Um Nothing, nothing's wrong I Um, nothing, it's fine I just was thinking about something Um, I Okay, I'll tell you, um I was just thinking that I hope that I, I find, uh, I find someone that, uh, that cares about me as much as you do Yeah, yeah, you know, yeah It's like if we weren't best friends Um, nothing, I shouldn't, I shouldn't say No, no, I don't Uh, okay, yeah, you're right, I already started to say it, why not finish it? I was just saying that, you know, we weren't best friends, you know, we weren't as I don't know, if we weren't as close as we are, then I think that in an alternate universe that we would be together, you know?
