Our Listener character is a writer who has submitted his latest manuscript to his Editor, our Speaker character. His original pitch included some very sexy scenes, but the writing isn't quite matching the pitch. His Editor is concerned about telling the audience what's happening, rather than showing. She tells him there should be more description, more in-the-moment experiences in these scenes. Since it's been awhile since he has experienced anything like that himself, she's going to help him get these scenes where they need to go. So sit back for a minute, take a deep breath, really think about what it feels to experience what your character is going through in your manuscript, okay? How does it feel to touch someone like that, to be touched, to be kissed, to go into those levels of intimacy and ecstasy and intensity that are so crucial to what's happening for your character? How does that feel? Okay, all right.
Well, it may have been a while since you've experienced it, but you've experienced it, right? Yeah? You don't remember? Really? Really? Okay.
