I am deeply gladdened to see you here tonight. Thank you for coming. I made this feast for you and only you.

It shall be indeed only you and I tonight. Do not worry about there being any interruptions while we feast together. Now, would you prefer to start with a soup or a salad? Well why not have both? While you start on that, I do have a few questions.

How has your stay been in the castle? Good. Very, very good.

I am happy to hear so. It can be quite lonely here every once in a while. It does take in fact a bit to get accustomed to being here by yourself or with very few other individuals.

You see I am indeed alone in this castle. Yes, exactly as what you just heard. I am indeed by myself.

I have been for quite some time. How was that, the food? Was it to your liking? Good.

I am very pleased to hear that. Now, what would you prefer for the entree? I do have some lamb, I have some chicken and I do as well have some beef.

Which would you prefer? Eat whichever one you like and please enjoy yourself. Now do you have any questions for me? Ah, of course.

The castle is mine. I won it a while before. I won't bore you with the details but it did take a few years in order for me to completely have it to myself.

How long exactly have I been here? Well, if I were to truly say the number you wouldn't believe me. So I will tell you an estimate.

Let's say a few decades. Now that is a very complex question my dear and I am not sure you are ready for the answer. The truth is I don't remember how old I am but if I had to guess I would say somewhere over 300 years old.

Don't look at me like that, it's completely plausible you know. It all depends on if you believe me or not. No I won't be eating, at least not yet.

I haven't decided if I am feeling hungry enough. So don't you worry. Keep eating, it will be alright.

Do you have any other questions for me? Ah, so finally you ask what you have been wanting to know ever since you got here. The reason, the true reason why you are here.

Yes, I am a vampire. Don't look away. Before you even take a step I could slaughter you.

Before you get out of your chair I could have drained you completely dry if I wanted to. The reality is that you, you have something special and you are here with me. And that in it of itself is already a really big difference, a unique difference to anybody else that has ever come here.

You have been able to carry a conversation with me for quite some time now and that is very rare. So don't worry, I won't slaughter you, not yet. Besides, you still have to eat your dessert.

I have cake, ice cream and cheesecake. It's up to you whichever one you like or if you like them all, you can have any one of them. Now I will say this, you smell absolutely delicious.

Quite exquisite if I may say so myself. But don't worry, you will be alright. Nothing will happen to you, at least not tonight.

That I can promise you. What were you saying now? Oh, well, that truly depends, you see.

It depends on how you behave now that you know what I am. You might not believe me, at least not yet, but your eyes tell a different story. They tell of your conviction, of you knowing that I am something different of this world.
