[Dark Fantasy] A Warrior King Becomes Your Lover

I have not known love until I laid my eyes on you, on that night. Many oppose, and yet, I don't care, I care about what you feel. I would gladly, I would gladly fight everyone here who do oppose of you and me.

Before you I was just a conqueror, there was no such thing as a union. We battled, there was no love between a man or a woman, everyone had their place here, but now things have changed. I want you to be by my side, as I rule, as I conquer everything.

I might say that you're a weakness, but I'll never let you suffer the pain of losing me. Do you remember that night, when we met? You were terrified of me, I don't blame you.

We were headed towards your village, hungry, sleep deprived, woman deprived, lusting for blood. One of my men spotted you, he meant to claim you as his own. You were terrified, I don't blame you.

He grabbed you by your hair, and I snapped. You looked at me, only me. You were not fighting back, you looked like you had given up.

Without hesitation, I pried his hands off of you, I pushed him off. That would mean that I was getting between him and his prize. That's what we used to live by, whoever claimed it first gets to keep it.

So even me, as a king, would have to answer to that. We were all even, as warriors. He gave me the opportunity to fall back, but I stood between you and him, all my other men surrounding us, confused as to why I'm doing this.

And to be perfectly honest, I didn't know myself. My body moved by itself, like it knew it had to protect you. It didn't end well for that man, he saw me, unwavering, though he knew this was a battle he would not win.

He still took out his sword, and he aimed to bury it on my chest. He was one of my finest warriors, and yet, the power I felt by your presence, felt like I could not be defeated that day, and every other day. Moving forward, it was the easiest battle I've ever had.

He laid on the ground, my men confused as to why, and got in his way. I looked at you and said, stand up. Stand up, for everyone here to see you.

If any of you land a hand on her, you see him, you will face the same fate as him, and do not make eye contact with her. I claim her, she is mine. And though as a warrior king, I am a king, I am a warrior.

And though I claimed you as mine, in front of all my men, I still looked in your eyes, for your approval. For the first few days, you were very apprehensive, and I don't blame you. We're the men you were taught to run away from, and I even told you what we were planning to do once we got to your village.

You were scavenging for food, and I just happened upon you, before we ever got to your village. Maybe there's a reason for that. I'm glad I spared your village.

You came to peaceful terms, and now it's under my protection. I was trying so hard to gain your favor. A warrior king, trying to court a commoner.

I would often tell you, that any woman would kill, literally kill, to be in your situation. And yet, you were not impressed. I always found it odd, because I gave you the option to leave.

I even gave you your own room. I gave you the key to mine. And one night, I heard the door open, in the middle of the night, and I felt your warm hands on my face, and your soft lips on mine.

You got on top of me. You caught me by surprise, I said. As I looked into your eyes, you looked so determined.

And you spoke to me in a different way, that night. As if you'd been holding back. Later on you told me, that my actions before we met, made you hesitate.

But as the days went by, you saw that I was a changed man. Let me remind you that you're the one that's changed me, for the better. I'm still ruthless, to those who oppose me.

But I am merciful, to the ones that do not. And to you, I will show you. What I know of love, and everything I know.

I've learned from looking into your eyes. From suppressing every feeling that I have. Until you came into my chambers.

And now, and only now I can show you. Only now I can feel you. Kiss you.

It's the only thing, I want to conquer now. Every night, and every waking moment, that I don't have a sword in my hand. I want to be conquering you.

I don't want you to do this if you're not. If you don't feel any type of love for me, then don't do this. What made you, what made you come here tonight? I would never hurt you.

I have changed because of you. I'm not the man people fear, not anymore. I want you to feel the love, that you invoked in me.

For the first time, I've never felt this way. I want you to feel every emotion coursing through my veins. You grabbed my arms, squeezing tight.

Waiting for the moment, being who I am. I treated you, as gently as I could. It's okay.

I've been hurt worse, as you can see. The flames would illuminate my scars, as she studied them. And I studied her.

Perfect. A face so beautiful that I would wage war, against every man in this world.
