You're doing so, so good. Do you remember, uh, a few days ago when I came home with this, um, the secondhand Game Boy Advance with, um, Pokemon, Pokemon Sapphire? I was waving it up in the air when you, when you opened the doors for me and you, the only thing that you could ask was, was where did I even get this, um, this Game Boy Advance?

And I was honestly, to this day, I'm still a little confused. I just got it from some, some secondhand thrift store that was selling a bunch of old, old, old techie stuff. Um, and it caught my attention.

I mean, you know me, so I, I picked it up for, for cheap and, um, I was really excited to, to show it to you. So I, um, that night we, we laid in bed underneath the, underneath the blankets. It was a cold, cold Thursday evening.

We were under our warm blankets and, um, it was pitch black and the, the only light that we could see was from, was from that Game Boy. And, uh, we were just, well, I was just, I was just playing. And, um, you helped me pick my starter and you helped me name all these, um, all the Pokemon that I caught.

And, uh, I never told you this, but I actually continued playing that save file. I continued playing after that. Uh, I don't know.

I guess it just brought me back to, to bed of childhood, you know, just, I guess it was extra special to being able to play with you, being able to, to share that moment with you really made me feel like a, like a little kid. You know, there's the show that I'm watching and it's like some of the best production that I've ever seen, but it's um, it's set in the post great war in, um, post world war one in, uh, in England, in Birmingham. And it's like a, it's a bunch of, it's a family of, it's a family of thieves.

And, um, I don't know. It's just, it's just really good. And, uh, I, I wanted to watch it with a, with a bunch of my friends, but a few of them already watched it.

Um, so I was actually, going to ask if you wanted to watch it with me. Um, because, um, I didn't get to get into, I didn't get to watch the, the final season. So I was, but maybe it'd be better to, to get into something a bit more, a bit more vanilla, you know, maybe some, some movies that we don't have to spend a lot of time on, um, before we really get to the meat of the story, you know, cause gosh knows how, how long, how long it would, it would take us to, to finish all the, all the episodes.

But with a movie, you know, it's, it's, you, you jump in, there's your key event, there's your inciting event, and then there's the buildup and then the climax, and the resolution, the, the denouement, the, I don't even know, I don't even know how you pronounce it. But yeah, just shh, shh, shh, shh, it's okay pumpkin, it's okay. No, no, hush, hush.

I'm not doing much at all. I'm doing the least I can do for you, okay? The least I can do.

Just listen, okay? Do you remember that, um, that one time where I, I woke up from a pretty bad, bad dream too? And I don't normally get a lot of, um, a lot of those types of dreams, usually I just forget them, or I don't have any at all.

But there was just something about that night, I guess it was all the, all the things stacking up on top of each other that, I guess, just made me dream about, you know, things that I don't even want to remember anymore. But you were there. You were there every single time.

You were there, and you just said all those magic words that just made me sleep like a, like a bear. I, I don't know what it is. Just, just being able to, to have that every night.

Just being able to wake up and, and, and know that I'm being protected, and know that someone's taking care of me, and to know that whenever I have a problem, that there's someone who wants to shoulder so much of the pain, so much of the hassle, so much of the little things that we grow to expect, that we grow to help each other with. So just, I don't know, pumpkin. I just want you to know that I'm here.

That I'm always here. That I always will be. Yeah? I'm, I'm really thankful that you, you let me into all the little problems that you're dealing with, and all the big problems that's been eating up at you for the past however many weeks.

It takes a lot to know that, that sometimes you just need a helping hand. That just sometimes you need someone that can hold you, hold you tight, and hear you, and truly, truly listen to you. Hold you tight, and hear you, and truly, truly listen to you.

So I can appreciate that a hundred percent. Are you feeling better? Yeah? Okay.

You can just go back to sleep, and I'll watch over you, okay? I'll just be here, protecting you, singing you sweet lullabies. Maybe not, but just, just know that I'm here, okay? And I will never go.

And no matter how, how vulnerable you think you are, no matter how, how awkward it may be for you, how not used to it you are, as someone who does most of the talking, I just want you to know that, I don't know, I'm, I'm just really thankful that you let me be a part of your healing, even just for tonight.
