In this audio, I play Cherry Holloway, a cheerful baker who just joined the neighborhood welcoming committee. I hope you enjoy! Listener Summary: Your rich great aunt died and left you her house in Pinewood Grove. You’ve been busy sorting through her affairs, missing the city, and also completely weirded out by the town’s holiday cheer! And now, some woman keeps knocking on your door trying to drop off a basket. But one day, you let her in!
Hi, I'm Cherry. I'm here with the New Neighbors Welcoming Committee. I have your welcome basket, and I wanted to give you a little guide to Winter Wonderland Week.
Is now a good time? Okay, that's fine. I can come back tomorrow.
Hi, it's Cherry. I've got your welcome basket, and I wanted to let you know that there's still four days left in Winter Wonderland Week. Is now a good time? Oh, that's fine, that's fine.
I can always come back tomorrow. Hi. Yes, yes, it's me, Cherry.
I'm sorry I keep banging on your door, but I'm just here for the welcome basket. Is now a good time? I try to come at different times.
I'm really sorry if I keep bothering you. It's just, it is a part of my job to give you this basket, and, you know, the council keeps asking me, why haven't you given the basket, Cherry? So.
Is now a good time? I understand. I understand.
Um, okay. I'll come back tomorrow, and just so you know, there are still a few days left in Winter Wonderland Week, not including the weekend. We have so much ready to go, so I hope you'll check out the town square, and I hope I'll see you around, so.
I like your shirt. Okay, um, tomorrow. I'll check in.
Hey, it's. .. Yeah, yes.
Is now a good time? Thank you. I promise, I will be just in and out, I just need to pass you the basket and confirm that you know what's inside it, and then I will be out of your way, I promise.
Is that okay? Great. It's my first year on the committee, and it means a lot.
You're one of our first new neighbors we've had in so long. I mean, it's only because. ..
Well, it's only because your aunt doesn't live here anymore, so. I'm really sorry for your loss. I knew her a little, she liked to come into my bakery, and towards the end I liked to make little house calls and give her her favorite treats, and we'd sit and talk, and she'd mention you, so I know how much she loved you, and yeah.
Sorry if that's TMI for a first meeting. Oh god, I'm screwing this up, aren't I? But I just, you know, I wanted to let you know that everybody in town loved her, and will miss her very much.
Anyway, I have your basket. Let me tell you what I brought for you. Like I said, I'm Cherry, and I'm down at Cherry's Cake Company on Main Street.
Yeah. So I got you a whole bunch of goodies. Rosemary olive oil bread, and plain bread in case you don't like rosemary or olive oil, and I also have for you some cupcakes.
Your aunt's favorite were my white chocolate raspberries, so I included a few of those, as well as our salted caramel pretzel, and I know that this time of year people really are into cinnamon, so I included some snickerdoodles, as well as the classic chocolate chip cookies. I even threw in some oatmeal raisin with extra cinnamon, and I think that's about it. It's mostly just baked goods, and I think there's a jar of honey in there, and some tea blends that I curate myself.
Oh, thank you. I tried really hard to just think of a little bit of everything. I don't know you, so I wasn't sure what you'd enjoy.
Yeah, that's it. Oh, and Winter Wonderland Week is happening. I know you might have noticed, but Pinewood Grove is really into holidays.
I mean, I've never seen anything like it. In the years I've been here, it's just celebrations all year long, but December is a whole just extravaganza. There's nothing they won't do, and Winter Wonderland Week is this crazy event where the whole town transforms.
They change the storefront names, they have maps everywhere so people don't get lost, and there's events in the town square, and at the library, and in the park. My store transforms into the Sugar Plum Factory. But don't get me wrong, it's not just Christmas.
We celebrate literally everything. Let's see, earlier this month we even celebrated Krampus Night, and on the December calendar we have, including Christmas, we have Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Shabbat Yalda, Boxing Day, let's see, Las Posadas, St. Lucia Day, the 12 Days of Christmas, the Winter Solstice, some people call it Yule.
Yeah, yeah, no, we're very celebratory. Do you like to celebrate anything this time of year? Oh, oh, okay, yeah, to each their own.
I love it, though. I wonder, did your aunt enjoy celebrating? I mean, she did with us, but I couldn't tell if she was just being polite.
Oh, yeah, that's sweet. I think, I think it's really kind of you to come down here and sort out all her affairs and be away from the big city. Yeah, I mean, I can tell when something's not a person's scene.
But I really like it that I was able to meet you, so, and I've talked your ear off a million times, but you seem, you seem lovely, so. If you ever want to stop by my bakery, I will get you whatever you want on the house, as long as I can take you out for coffee after. Do you not drink coffee? Okay, so, I guess I'll see you around.
I should go. I have one more basket in my car I need to drop off. Mm-hmm.
Someone had a new dog, and we're celebrating their arrival. It's not, it's not on the schedule or anything. Why? No, I could, I could stay a little while.
No, I, I know. And so, once I started my bakery and figured out what it was I wanted to do, I realized I just never wanted to let an opportunity to feel good pass me by. So, when I see something in the town that I think would make me smile, I stop and I look at it, and I appreciate it.
And I try and go to as many events as I can, just to fully enjoy being here. So, let me ask you, city girl. When's the last time you did something that you really enjoyed? Yeah, yeah, straight like that.
When's the last time you did something that made you feel good? Hmm. Well, if you can't remember, you're gonna have to make new memories.
Only, I mean, they don't have to be with me, they could be with anybody. Hmm. Hmm.
Hmm. I, oh. Yeah, I enjoyed that.
Uh-huh. Hmm. Whew.
You're a good kisser. Um, is this, is this alright? Because, I find you to be really, really beautiful.
Yeah, I'd like to make you feel good, if I can. Yeah. Hmm.
Hmm. Hmm. Hmm.
Mm-hmm, mm-hmm. Your tongue, it tastes so sweet. Mm-hmm.
Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Can I touch you? Oh my god.

Can I, can I take off your top? Is that okay? Oh my god.

Well, after tasting your neck and your lips, I, I know, I know what I want to taste next. These beautiful breasts. Mm.
Mm. Mm. Mm.
Mm. Mm. Let me get the other one.
Mm. Oh. Are they sensitive? Mm-hmm.
Mm. Oh my god. You have the most adorable tummy.
May I touch it, please? Oh, it's so soft. Don't be embarrassed.
Mm-hmm. Nothing to be embarrassed about. You're gorgeous.
Every interview. Mm. Oh, fuck.
Mm-hmm. Yeah, I want to kiss that too. May I? Mm-hmm.

Mm. Mm. Mm-hmm.
Way better than snickerdoodles. Come here, taste it. Mm.
Oh. Mm. Oh my god.
Mm. We'll get to me later. Yeah, I just.
.. Oh my god. You're so fucking hot.
Mm. We'll get to me later, I just. ..
I wanted you to feel good. Is. ..
Was that okay? Good, good. I really.
.. I wasn't expecting this. Um.
.. But I'm glad, I'm glad we did it, so. ..
My number, it's, it's in the welcome basket. If you. ..
Ever do wanna go for that coffee. If you wanna go for coffee and see me again, then. ..
Then we can pick this up. Okay? And I've gotta get back to my.
.. My welcome wagon. I'm glad you decided to do something for yourself today.
You know? And remember, there's still a couple days left in the week. I think you should get out there.
Come see me. And. ..
Enjoy the holidays. And. ..
Come see me. And. ..
Enjoy the holidays. Why not, you know? Okay.
Um. .. Yeah, if you need anything, just.
.. Ask for Cherry. Okay, welcome.
Welcome to the neighborhood. I promise. Oh my god, I promise I don't do this with everyone I welcome.
But I think you know that. Okay, alright. Bye.
