Hey Patreon, welcome to April's Q&A. Once again, thank you for so many questions, I really do appreciate it. Sugar, you do have, I gotta say, the craziest questions, and the most absurdity.

But I'll answer them, I'm gonna answer them. Yeah, just your questions are. ..

What in the hell, dude? How do you come up with these? Okay, let's start from the top, Tracy, have you ever pranked anyone by saying something that wasn't true?

You mean like every time I ever lied to my parents as a kid? Did they believe it, or did they realize it was an April Fool's? Well my parents probably knew I was lying, but I thought they believed it.

And if you can say, what was it? You know, so the thing is, I am a joker, and I can, like, I really have an ability when I'm playing a joke to do it with a straight face. And so, I don't know that I've ever really gone out and done something specifically for April Fool's.

But I do practical jokes, I do pranks and stuff like that, and yeah, I have had people believe a lot of stuff. And usually I remember to set them straight, but occasionally I forget. Have you ever been caught out by someone doing an April Fool's on you or not? You know, hang on, I'm sipping my Diet Pepsi here.

I can't remember the last time that someone did a, that someone pranked me for April Fool's. Not that really got me. I had a friend prank me on April 2nd this year, and then call it April Fool's.

But I think that that's cheating. What did you do at Easter when you were young? Did you go on Easter egg hunts, Easter parades, celebrating, etc.

? What do you do now? Well, when I was a kid, my parents would hide Easter eggs inside and outside the house.

There was also usually, you know, an Easter basket with goodies and toys and stuff like that. And, and so you do that Easter hunt. And then I am a religious person and a regular churchgoer.

And so I've always gone to church on Easter, just like basically every other Sunday. And then, you know, I can't remember if my parents did like a special dinner for Easter. I want to say we did, but I just can't remember.

You know, my mom was never much of a, much of a big feast preparer apart from Thanksgiving. And so it didn't really, well Thanksgiving and Christmas. And so I think she did some special stuff, but it wasn't like extravagant, like Thanksgiving and Christmas.

These days, I like to spend time with family and friends. I, you know, have an, have an Easter dinner and go to church. I mean, pretty much the same thing.

I've never been to an Easter parade. I didn't even really know that was a thing. Amanda says, who are you listening to right now, ASMR or music? Well, I'm always, I've always been a music guy.

On the way home from work earlier today, I was listening to Jack Johnson. You know, I don't know that there's any specific artists that I've been binging on lately. I rediscovered Bare Naked Ladies album Stunt recently, which has been a lot of fun.

And I spent a lot of time just on my, you know, my Moon Tunes playlist on Spotify, which if you haven't followed me over on Spotify, go ahead and do that and, and see the Moon Tunes playlist. Who did you originally get inspired from? No, and I assume by this, you mean to start recording? No specific person.

I went through a rough time a couple of years ago and got a lot of comfort from some wonderful female ASMR voice artists on Reddit. And who just, you know, helped me out with, with the blues that I was going through, the tough time I was going through, just kind of made me feel comforted, feel better all around. And that's what gave me the desire to start recording was to pass that on to someone else.

How did you overcome insecurities and post your first work? How do you keep that up as you started to post more and grow bigger? Well, that is a question and it is a, it's an ongoing process.

You know, I do have insecurities and, and Kativa, my audio creation partner can tell you that I do express them, you know, was that good? Was that okay? Hey, I can do this, right? You know, that sort of thing.

To record my first thing, it was really actually kind of a rush because I had originally joined Reddit. I didn't think I had a good voice. I didn't think anyone would want to listen to me.

And so I joined Reddit wanting to do script, you know, write scripts. And it was kind of just a moment of insanity that I recorded a little verification audio and posted it on there. And I had all sorts, all sorts of people say, Oh my gosh, please keep talking.

And so I was kind of riding that high when I was like, well, okay, I guess I took a script that I had written, yeah, I can English really good. I took it well, and it wasn't even really a script I'd written. I outlined something and I recorded it and I posted it and it was well received.

And so here I am. And honestly, one of my biggest tricks for overcoming my insecurities about recording and posting is to just not think about it. Like if I don't think about it, it can't bother me.

And so I try, I try not to, to think too hard about the fact, because then I'm going to overthink it. And I'm like, Oh my gosh, is this perfect? Is it perfect? Is it perfect? And then I won't post anything.

So yeah, overcoming insecurities is an ongoing, ongoing project. All right, Unrefined Sugar, you, you, you did this to me again. Here we go.

Why don't we call 11 and 12, one teen and two teen? I do. I use those terms interchangeably as of like right now.

So be ready for that. How many squirrels do you think it would take to beat a camel in a fist fight? I think it would take 47 and a half.

The reason is, I mean, obviously like if you cut a squirrel in half, that one's not going to be very effective. But I think 47 is too few, but with 48, I think you have overkill. I think that they would be evenly mashed at 47.49 squirrels.

And then you get that 47.5 and, and it's done. So but it also depends if it was a one hump or two hump camel, a two hump camel would probably be double that. So you'd, you'd need a clean 95.

Overhead or ambient lighting? Yes, it just depends on where I am. I can tell you this much.

I really don't like fluorescent lights and I try to avoid them. They just, my eyes don't love them. And so frequently I have lights dimmed late and, and you know, sometimes when I have to work late, you know, in the office and I'm one of the only people there or the only person there, I turn off the overheads and just have the, you know, just a little bit of like a lamp on or something like that.

And then people in the morning when they come in and see the office like that, they're like, oh, Matt must've worked late last night. So I'm known for that. What is the most aesthetically pleasing number? It's 13, which is also my lucky number.

Don't argue with it. It is 13. And finally, if 87 times the product of 18A times 12 is 1,033,560, what is the value of A? P.S.

I know the answer so you can't cop out of this one. Well I've got my tablet right here. I'm going to pull out the notes app and we're going to do this.

So all right, so we got notes app. There you are. Let's make a new note.

And we got 87 times, what was it, 18A times 12 equals 1,033,560. All right, so 18 times 12, that'd be 6, carry the 1, so 36, and then 18. So 18 times 12 is 216, and then multiply that by 87.

We got 2, carry the 4, so that's 11, carry the 1, and we have 15 there. And then 8, carry that, 2, carry that, 17, and then add those. Okay, so 87 times 216 is 18,792.

Now for long division, and this is why I totally hate you, Shadow. 560 divided by 18,792. All right, time for some long division.

So we got 1,033,560 divided by 18,792, and that's going to go into there how many times? Probably five times. We'll multiply out and see if I'm right there.

And so I'm going to multiply that 25, carry the 1, and that's going to be 45, 6, so carry 4. 9, carry 3, carry 3, and carry, and so, okay. So now we're going to subtract.

We're going to get 6 with the bar there, so that's going to be 3 with the bar there, 9, and that's going to be there, and then drop down the 0. Those are the same, so 55. So A is 55, but just to be on the safe side, let's pull out a calculator and make sure.

If I take a calculator here and I say 18 times 55, and then multiply that by 12, multiply that by 87, it is, in fact, 1,033,560. So the answer to your question, A is 55, and if you're interested to see my work, I'm taking a screenshot, and I'll see if we can upload that together with the post of this Q&A. So there you go.

All right, let me scroll back to the questions here. Okay, Foxy Kitty asks, Does it make you feel good knowing that you're helping a lot of people feel better by sharing your talent with your voice and stories? I get asked this question from time to time, and the answer is, yeah, it does make me feel happy.

It makes me very glad that people are benefiting from the things that I put out there. I started recording shortly before the COVID lockdowns and everything started, just a few months ahead of time, and so I've been able to get a lot of feedback from people that I help them out through, especially through the worst part of the COVID pandemic when there was a lot of uncertainty, a lot of fear, a lot of people suffering. And yes, it's been very nice knowing that I made a difference for a lot of people.

And if you could go to one place in the world, where would it be? It would be like a lot of places everywhere. I've been to five continents.

I've been to, I don't even know how many countries, a bunch. And I love traveling. I just love to see the world.

I don't know that there's a single place that I'm like, oh my gosh, this place more than all others I have to go to. I just kind of want to go everywhere. Japan is high on my list, China, a lot of places in Europe.

I want to visit Southeast Asia. I want to visit Australia. I want to visit places in South America, Central America.

I mean, I kind of, and there's a lot of Africa that I'm a little bit, you know, I'm going to stay away from like, you know, Somalia, places like that where it's just not safe for, well, in general, but especially for Americans. We're not terribly well received, of course, but there's a lot of Africa that I want to see too. Really would like to go to Egypt, would like to go to Morocco.

Yeah, I look forward to traveling the world in the future. Luna Castor asked, what is the weirdest food combination you've ever eaten? I think you or somebody else asked that question a while back.

I can tell you this, I, a while back I was in Texas and I was, I found this sushi place that was like a fusion Tex-Mex and sushi. And it wasn't the weirdest thing ever, but it was really, really good. And, and so just, so yeah, that, that was, if I had to say the weirdest, the single weirdest thing I've ever eaten, not combination, but I ate worms in South Africa.

So they were fried and crunchy and they were good. What type of chocolate is your favorite? The kind that's in my belly.

Dark chocolate, every day, all day long, dark chocolate. If you could have a superpower, what would it be? I would love the power of flight.

And this is going to change because I'm going to like, I'm going to, next time you ask me, I'm going to think about, I'm going to like time travel or something. But for today, I would say flight. And what is the biggest cultural shock you have ever faced? It may have been eating worms in South Africa, to be honest.

That was a little bit odd. You know, at this point I've traveled enough of the world that I'm fairly resilient when I see culture shock or when I, when I go somewhere new and I, I'm, I'm.
