This is your first lesson with Aizawa in fight training, awareness is the most important rule...
Now, you want to make sure that you never ever close your eyes during combat. At any blink, everything could change. You want to make sure that that never happens, at least not to you.
Like I was saying before, you always want to make sure that everything around you is visible to you. If you have to turn around, if you have to move your neck, you have to do it, and do it quickly. Any villain could get behind you in a matter of milliseconds.
Remember that any little mistake could in fact be someone's life. We want to make sure that we do everything in our power to never make those mistakes. Or at least try to minimize them in any way possible.
Besides, I already see huge progress in you. But it's important to stay focused and make sure that nothing is in our way mentally, physically, and spiritually. So, like I said before, it is of the utmost importance that you know what's going on around your surroundings.
Every single detail is important. Besides this, all you have to do is recognize a threat, make sure that you have each one in your line of sight, and then engage. However, you must let them engage first.
That is always the first rule, especially nowadays when you have these quirks. The reason for this is because you need to know what you are dealing with first. If you lay your cards out in front and show them your quirk, then you're giving them the advantage of knowledge.
And knowledge is what makes you win or die. Now, apart from that, you are much like me. You don't really have a quirk with much power to it.
Now, I don't say this to most people, but my quirk is actually one of the most powerful quirks ever created. Or blessed with, if you want to call it that. I can level the playing field for any villain I come across.
As long as my quirk attaches to them and I look at them and don't blink, they are just like any other human. You are very similar. You don't have a very powerful quirk.
You have to make do with what you have. And that comes down to training. You must know exactly what you're trying to do and where you're going to do it.
That takes a lot of preparation. All your training will protect you and let you be, well, as I should say, prepared for what's to come. You must know how to throw a perfect punch, a perfect kick.
You must be able to have your body in optimal conditions to do everything necessary and everything that is asked of you in those circumstances. Does that make sense? Good.
You are listening. So, the very first thing you must know is how to evade an attack. And that is quite easy.
Now, what I want you to do is always be sure that you are perfectly in synchronization with your enemy's movements. When they attack, when they blast you, when they throw something, you will always do a right or a left roll away. At least a jump.
Never go forward or back because you will get hit either way. As long as you're down that same middle line, you will get hit always. After this, you're going to want to attack or go on the offense.
Now, I highly recommend that you get yourself a long-distance weapon. I have my scarf. It is very, very durable and I'm able to use it in most circumstances from far away.
It also makes me have a longer distance from my opponent, which greatly benefits me in controlling the battle. Basically, you always want to be in control. You are trying to control everything.
Because if you don't control the scenario, where you are, then you will lose. Or worse yet, civilians will lose their lives. And that is unacceptable.
Apart from these basics, you always just need to be aware. It is the first thing and the only thing that will keep you alive. Or, on the other hand, will definitely get you killed.
So please, attacking, defending, everything comes after being aware. If you are not aware, then you have no idea what's going on. And that will surely end the fight right there with you being dead.
Now, for the second lesson, we will be talking about punches, kicks, and everything in between. I'll see you at the next lesson. Be sure to be careful out there.
