Hi, I'm Mayi. I'm really grateful you chose to spend this time with me. Together, we are going to walk through some affirmations.
You can listen to this as often as you like. First, I want you to make yourself comfortable. Whether you are sitting, laying down or standing, I want you to find a position that feels comfortable enough for you to relax.
Take a moment to settle into that position. Now, take a few slow, deep breaths with me. In and out.
In and out. In and out. As you continue to breathe, I want you to focus on the exhale.
Feel your body relax into each breath. Feel your shoulders release. Feel your jaw unclench.
Feel your muscles soften bit by bit. If your eyes haven't closed yet, I want you to close them now. While we walk through these affirmations together, your mind might wander.
That's okay. When you notice that your thoughts are elsewhere, focus on your breathing and listen to my voice. Think of yourself as taking my hand.
You can grab it again whenever you're ready. I'm going to speak each affirmation and I want you to repeat it after me. If you are able, I would like you to say it out loud but you can say it in your head too.
Ready? Let's begin. I'm calm, happy and content.
My life is a gift and I appreciate everything I have. I'm worthy of respect and acceptance. I choose to be proud of myself.
I will not compare myself to strangers on the Internet. I am enough. My contributions to the world are valuable.
My needs and wants are important. I make a significant difference in the lives of people around me. I'm allowed to take up space.
When I celebrate myself, I subconsciously give other people permission to do the same. Negative thoughts only have the power I allow them. No amount of worrying can change the future.
My past is not a reflection of my future. I deserve to forgive and be forgiven. I let go of all that no longer serves me.
I can choose to feel good. I'm worthy of love. I love myself completely.
Take another deep breath with me. In and out. Again.
In and out. Wiggle your toes. Feel yourself slowly come back into your body.
