Maybe you just wanna listen to my voice? Maybe you wanna remember what it is you can come home to 🤍
Hey, I realize that you're probably still at work when you receive this, but you can just listen to it when you're free, you know, maybe on the way back from work or from school, whatever the case may be. But the intention is that you listen to this while you're at work, if you want to, while you're studying. Again, whatever the case may be, sort of just as a pick-me-up, you know? Maybe you want to listen to my voice, you want to remember what it is you can come home to, or whatever it is you can enjoy when you're done with whatever you're doing.
So yeah, I really wanted to say first, well I was going to make a list of things that I wanted to say, but I thought it would be a bit weird for me to script everything, to really have an outline of everything, so I'm just going to speak from the heart, because you deserve it. Yeah, number one is I'm very, very proud of you. I think you're doing absolutely wonderful.
I remember you were telling me the other day that, you know, things were kind of picking up, the things that you had to do were kind of picking up, there was a lot of things that you had to deal with, tomorrow, the day after that, next week, over the course of a few months, there's just a lot of things that you have to worry about, and I should have said it then, I didn't get to, so I'm trying to compensate by saying now that I think you'll do wonderfully. Really really good, you're doing really really good, you will do really really good, and you know, maybe we slip up here and there, we don't do as well as we would hope, maybe we even think that we're not doing as much as we could be doing, we're not trying as hard as we could be doing, and that's a pretty bad feeling to have, I understand that 100%, but at the end of the day, as long as we know that there's room for improvement, if we think we can improve, and we know we can improve, then that's already progress, and you're making so so much of it, so much progress. So that's the first thing, and the most important thing that I wanted to say, was how proud I am of you, and how proud so many people are of you, please do not forget that.
Another thing that I wanted to say is, good luck with your stuff, I may not know 100% what it is that you're always doing, at night, in the mornings, and throughout your day, but I want you to know that if you ever need help with anything, you have a lot of people to reach out to, you have me to reach out to, and I know you're a little stubborn when it comes to your work, you know, sort of like you're trying to prove something to yourself that you can do it on your own, and I respect that 100%, but yeah, I just want you to know that you have someone to fall back to, and that's gonna be constant, I'm never gonna leave you, I'm always always gonna be here, no matter what, okay? So yeah, just really wanted to get the deep stuff out of the way first, you know, I just figured that since we've been a lot busier nowadays with work and with studies, you know, I'm busy, you're busy, I figured it'd be a neat little thing for us to do, well, at least for me to do, you don't have to do it yourself, you're busy, of course, to sort of, you know, just leave little voice messages, little texts, not even necessarily talking about anything crazy, sort of just, you know, telling each other about each other's day, just talking about whatever, like we used to, you know, we don't get to talk as much as we used to, we don't get to just generally spend time as much as we used to, so maybe this is gonna be a little thing to fill the void that was once filled by each other, you know? So yeah, I'm gonna start sending these little voice messages, I hope you don't mind, again, you don't have to listen to them while you're at work or while you're studying, just whenever you need a little pick-me-up, as I said, whenever you need a reminder, whenever you need company, whenever you need someone that you know cares about you, you can always listen to this little voice message, okay?
So yeah, about my day, there wasn't really much going on. Okay, yeah, this is the first ever voice recording, but I'm already running out of stuff to say, that is crazy. I live a pretty boring life, you know what I mean? But I guess I can just talk to you about some stuff I was reading, some stuff I looked at.
So, you know, I was sort of just, so you know how I'm playing this game that I really like, it's some RPG, and I just fell in love with the art so, so quickly, there was just something so striking about it, it's sort of like this comic book style that you know I love so much, it's really vibrant, it's super, there's a lot of contrast, it's super vibrant, and when I first saw it, when I first booted up the game, I was just so, I don't know, there was something about it that just screamed like, you know, look at me, look at me. So throughout the entire time I was just in love with playing it, I was in love with seeing all these little visual details they added, like all of the little animations they have. When you go on like the start screen, like every time you'd go to a new game, or a load game, or options, they would have this little animation that they would do that's like super, super cool.
So yeah, I told you about that a while back, but I don't think I told you that I looked up the artist, and he's some Japanese guy, because it's like a, it's a Japanese game company. Excuse me. He's a Japanese guy so I cannot for the life of me pronounce his name.
It's like, it's like, Soe, Soe Okay, I'm not even gonna try. But he's like this. He's like some 50 something guy and he's been the main artist of this, of this game company for a really, really long time now, I'd say like, 20, 30 years.
And he has this super, super distinct art style that I've been trying to replicate for like years now, and I just can't for the life of me do like, there's a, there's a specific way that he, he does noses where you look at the character, and it looks like their noses are way too long, they should not go that low. So every time I try to do it, it just looks like their nose is drooping past their chin, right? So it looks so stupid.
But when he does it, it looks so so good. And I'm looking at the, I'm looking at the dimensions of their character, and I'm looking at the dimensions of my character, and I'm like, where's the difference? You know, where's the difference? I don't get it.
Just the way he does it is just so, just so so cool. And I really want to get to that level. You know, I even watched some of the speed drawing things, his speed painting things on YouTube.
And oh my god, like the way he draws too. So you know how, when you draw up, you know, people do a sketch, and then the next layer, they do some line work. And the next, they do some shading, they do some coloring.
So, you know, it's like, those are like the building blocks. But this guy, he draws, he sketches, like how you paint, right? So when you when you digital paint, you, it's not so much about the line work, it's about it's not, it's more about like sculpting is a good way to put it.
So you it's like you throw down a slab of clay, and then you mold it to make it look like how you want it to look like, which in my case is like, you know, people. So he, he draws like he paints, so he would throw down a messy batch of lines, and then he would just zoom in and clean it up. And after like two hours, it's just, it's a masterpiece.
It's like flawless line work. It's as if it's a computer generated, that's how good this guy is. And to think that he starts from, from like, from these super, super messy, but still really good looking sketch.
And then to that is just what, you know, so okay, I don't even know if you're, if you're interested in any of this, but I mean, I did say I'm pretty bored in life, but it's just, it's just super, super cool. The way he does that, and I really, really want to get to that level. So I can draw for myself, you know, draw some stuff for you too.
I think that'd be pretty, pretty cute. So yeah, I was, I was getting into that artist for a bit. And then after that, I, oh wait, what did I do anyway? So I woke up, but you were already out by that point because I slept in.
So that's pretty sad. I didn't get to greet you. And then I made some breakfast.
What did I eat? It was just a sandwich. There was some cheese in the fridge, so, and some butter.
So I just spread some, I just made some toast and put some cheese on it. I had some, some milk as well. And then after that, it was not that good, by the way.
After that, I brushed my teeth, I took a bath. And then yeah, I started, I started looking up that guy, that artist guy that I was telling you about. And then I went to the market.
That I did. I remember you told me to buy this thing that I bought a few weeks ago. So I went over back there and to buy it.
I didn't go out just to buy that, but I guess I just wanted to, wanted to have some fresh air, you know? So I went outside. The market's pretty, okay, I know you're gonna get a bit mad at me because I didn't like book a ride going there.
It's only like 35, 40 minutes walking, so it's nothing too crazy. And the weather was really, really nice today. So please forgive me.
So I went out, it was a bit cold, but it was like the perfect weather. You know, it was, it was, it was a little warm, but okay, that I literally just said it was cold. What I meant was it was a little warm, but every time the wind blew, every time there was a slight breeze, it was super, super cool on the skin.
And it felt really, really good. I had a jacket on, yes, do not worry. So I'm not gonna get sick.
And then it started like drizzling a little bit, but it was only for a few minutes. I was kind of panicking. But after I recollected myself under, under some, under the bus stop, it was all fine from there.
So I just, I just sort of continued, um, passed by, passed by the little pond that we, we always go to at times sort of just to, just to see all the koi fish. Our favorite one is still there. Still very big, a lot fatter than the other ones.
So yeah, he's still, he's still chilling. And then passed by the park, passed by the little forest clearing. And then I got to the market and there were, there were a lot of things that I wanted to buy, but at the same time, you know, kind of didn't feel it.
So I just bought some, some, some of the normal stuff. I got us some eggs. I got, I got you some, some more shampoo because I figured you were running out.
I got us milk, some, some OJ. There's this, um, they had this sale on, on this orange juice. I know we don't, we typically don't go for like Sunkist, but there was some other thing that I wanted to try.
I can't even pronounce the name. It's some sort of foreign stuff. I think it's from like, I don't even know.
I don't even know where this is from. I'm probably gonna check later, you know, give you some more useless things about the day. Um, uh, so yeah, I got us some new OJ eggs.
What else? Uh, that thing that you wanted me to buy more of, some flour. We were running out of flour.
Um, but yeah, that's it. We, excuse me. I mean, what else? A nice old lady that was selling, selling some, some fruits like that.
She had her own fruit stand was there. So I bought, um, I bought some mangoes for us. I think they're in season.
I'm not too sure why she would be selling them if they weren't. So I kind of just shot down my own thing, but yeah. Oh my, I'm a little, little gassy today.
Uh, so yeah, that was kind of it. Uh, I didn't have a lot of things on me, so I was, I was walking a bit more past the market, um, and just sort of taking in the scenery, you know, it was just super nice. Even though my hands were kind of getting tired, I just sort of, I sort of sat there, um, by the lake and was just taking in the, the scenery.
It's always nice, you know, to sort of slow down and take everything in all the, all the people that pass by. You can just people watch, sort of make your own assumptions about them. You know, you guess what their work is, how old they are, what they do, what kind of person they are, I guess, to, to fill in the void that won't be filled because you can't just go out there and get to know everyone that you see, right?
You're only, you only have so much time and you're only one person. So, you know, you settle for people watching and making your own assumptions, which can be pretty fun. Um, yes, I did go to the bench that we always sat on.
Um, and if you're interested, the carving is still there. We are a bunch of vandals and we should be arrested. Um, so yeah, it's still there.
Uh, it was just, I don't know. It was just really nice. And I feel that I should be doing that a lot more.
I should be going out a lot more and slow, slow things down. You know, just a lot of things to think about nowadays, which I will not get into because I promised I already got the deep stuff out of the way, but it was just, yeah, it was just nice. It was, it was, it was beautiful.
And I hope I get to take you out someday back to that park again. Uh, we can just talk about whatever, you know, we can sort of decompress and just ramble on for hours on end. I can get you some, I don't know, some ice cream, some, some coffee, some tea, soda, whatever, whatever it is that you'd like.
And I'd like that particular moment. And yes, I definitely was imagining you being there. Um, I left some space on the bench in case, in case you suddenly teleported, um, from wherever you were to me, you know, you know, just some, just some precautions.
Um, but yeah, it was really nice going there and sort of just relaxing, doing whatever. But then I realized I should probably get back home. It must've been like, um, 4.30 or 5.00 PM at that point.
So everything was turning a bit more orange, a bit more Amber. There's this beautiful wash of, of, of colors all over the, all over the, all over the park, all over the forest clearing. But yeah, it was, it was just, it was just chill.
I don't know what else to say. I got back home. You weren't, you weren't there yet.
I mean, you're still not here. Um, so I am just here on our sofa, just patiently waiting for you. I already did my stuff earlier in the week.
So if you're wondering why I wasn't doing anything, that is why. I'm not being irresponsible. Thank you very much.
So yeah, when you get back home, I have a little bit of a surprise for you. And a little bit of a hint is it involves your favorite movie, me and your favorite food. So yeah.
Um, I just wanted to, I don't know. I just wanted to reward you for, for how, how well you've been working, how well you've been putting up with everything that's been going on. So just a little bit of a treat for you at the end of the week, you know? So, you know, when you get back home, it's a weekend, you don't have a lot of things to do.
So you just have me for yourself. So we can do whatever it is that you want. Wink wink, nudge nudge.
But yeah, a little bit of a treat. Thought you deserved it with how nice you've been to me, with how rewarding you've been to me, how caring you are. Yeah, I'm just running my mouth at this point.
I guess I'll end the little voice. Well, it's been like, I don't know, 20 minutes since I started talking somewhere around there. So it is not little by any means of the word.
But yeah, that's, that's what's been going on with me today. I hope that sort of filled you in, in case you were interested, in case you were a little sad that, you know, I didn't get to talk to you, you didn't get to talk to me, especially these past few weeks. I know, I know that, you know, that I know, and I know that, you know, if that makes sense, that we really have been a little bit off, a little bit sad since we haven't been able to spend as much time together as I said.
So I'm really working towards making it feel like we are spending a lot of time together. And I hope that this is a good and cute little first step. So yeah, I guess to end off, I just want you to know, again, I'm very, very proud of you.
I'm always here for you, so many people are. And be excited when you get home. Okay.
All right. See you. Good luck.
And bye bye.
