Hypnosis is a natural process that your mind already automatically goes into every day. A few times a day, actually. And this is actually healthy, because doing this allows your mind to rest.
So, the conscious mind rests for a moment, while the subconscious mind gets into the driver's seat for a change. Hypnosis is the same state of mind that you go into when you are watching a movie, or reading a story or article, or daydreaming. If you are so into something, watching something, reading something, thinking about something, or it takes your mind elsewhere and you forget your surroundings for a brief moment, then you are in a hypnotic state.

Have you ever heard of Fractionation Induction? I'll go ahead and explain my version. This is a form of hypnotic induction where the subject is taken into a hypnotic state, and then brought out again, and then taken into a hypnotic state again, and then brought out again.
This is done over and over for a limited period of time. Each time this is done, the subject goes deeper into a hypnotic state. After doing this a few times, we can move on to the deepener, and then we are ready for the hypnotic suggestions.
So doing this about 5, 6, or even 7 or so times can bring a subject into a very deep state of hypnosis very quickly. For this, I would use a trigger word. I'm going to use a snap of my fingers and the word SLEEP at the same time.
And each time you hear me say SLEEP with a snap, you fall instantly into trance. Or back into trance. Now learning this technique and having the trigger word installed means that each time that I, and only I, snap my fingers and say the word SLEEP at the same time that you will fall instantly and more deeply into a trance state more quickly than ever before.
So each and every time it happens faster and you go deeper. So this means you are actually training your mind to go more quickly into trance with me in the future. So for example, during your next session, when you come in, if we want to do hypnosis, I can basically just start with SLEEP and SNAP and you will go instantly into hypnosis just like that.
It will save us time on lengthy inductions in the future, so it has long-lasting benefits. So for example, next time I see you, I can just quickly in a matter of minutes put you into hypnosis with just a trigger word and a deepener and you will be ready to go. So it acts as a time-saver.
How does all of this sound to you? Okay, great! Let's begin.
In a moment we will begin by taking some deep breaths. I will instruct you to breathe in for a count of 5, you will hold it for a count of 3, and then exhale for a count of 5. I need for these breaths to be deep belly breathing, pulling the air all the way down deep inside, and then when you blow out, blow as much of the air out as you can.

Any spot, just choose a spot on the wall to look at. Continue looking at that spot for a moment. I'll instruct you otherwise when I'm ready for you to take your focus away from the spot, but for now, just stare at that spot.
Very nice! And now I would like for you to look through that spot, as if you are looking at a very pleasant scene. You can watch whatever is pleasant for you, a beautiful, pleasant, relaxing scene, as if that spot has become a window.
You see through that spot anything that is pleasant to you. I would like for you to continue to look at that very pleasant scene. Because as you do, in a moment, you are going to start to relax.
As you stare at this pleasant scene, whatever that scene is, you will begin to find that your entire body begins to relax. Your face relaxing, your scalp relaxing, your arms relaxing. Feel your chest relaxing, and doesn't it feel nice how relaxing your back is becoming? Your hands and your fingers are getting a nice break as they relax.
Your legs do not need to support you, they get to relax so beautifully. Your feet work so hard to support you and take you places, and right now, they get to relax. Your entire body relaxing, it doesn't need to do anything right now.
As you go so deeply into a hypnotic state, that the more this continues, the more you relax. The more you relax, and the more you relax, the deeper you go, that's right, the deeper you go into trance, that's right, so deeply relaxed with each word I speak now. And soon I am going to count from 10 to 1, and when I say each number, you will close your eyes, and with the silence between each number that I count, you will open your eyes, and go even deeper.
