Fia shares a guided imagery that is adapted from a mediation from Sally Kempton on Shiva and Parvati. Image each side of your body as divine feminine as Goddess Parvati on the left and divine masculine in the form of Shiva on your right.
3. Episode 3 Practice Savasana Guided Meditation This guided imagery is adapted from the Shiva and Parvati meditation from Sally Kempton in 2013 on Shiva and Parvati. You need a yoga mat and a place to lie down in silence for just a little while.
So as you lie yourself down into savasana on your back and with your arms extended out to the side and your feet hip width apart or wider, allow your eyes to float closed. And inhale a deep, deep breath. And exhale to relax and soften the body.
Inhaling one more time, deep breath into the belly and exhale, letting go, relax and soften. You can do that one more time just by yourself on your own, inhaling. And exhale, sigh out as well.
Now begin to observe the different sensations in each side of your body. See if you can bring a little bit of awareness to what is arising. Now visualize the left half of your body as Shakti and the right half as Shiva.
Sensation that the left half of your body is filled by the Divine Feminine as Goddess Parvati. Visualize the qualities of the Goddess in the left half of your body. Beauty, devotion, playfulness, charm, sweetness, nourishing love, erotic tenderness, gracefulness, feminine strength.
Sensation now the right side of the body, filled with the Divine Masculine in the form of Shiva. Feel his energy in your body. Sense his qualities of stability, steadiness, penetrating intellect, clarity of vision, gracefulness, vastness, ruthless swiftness, and masculine strength.
Now let your attention drift and move from the feminine side to the masculine side of your body. Notice the difference. Feel the two sides of the divine nature held within you.
Sense them held in balance in your own body. The masculine and feminine in union within your body. The balance of masculine and feminine in your own being.
Namaste.
