Episode 1 Exercise Shaking and Tapping The most powerful exercise to perform and get the kundalini, that's life force energy, to move inside the body is shaking. It releases the tension in the body and in the mind. When the body stores and holds on to energy, it usually does so in the same places.
This in Ayurveda is called Amma. This in turn creates a pattern that eventually creates a disease if not cared for and eventually treated. One of the symptoms of locked up energy is that muscles contract and that fascia to lose its elasticity and become stiff.
So the best way to loosen the tension up is to shake it off. It's a very simple practice but so very powerful. I usually start my day with shaking.
What I love to do is adding some tapping to it by using my intention of the day to imprint it into the body and the mind. Using the top of the fingers, I tap just over the eyebrows as I repeat to myself. You can do this out loud or whisper it to yourself, an intention or an affirmation.
And my favorite intention is I'm whole and complete. Then after a few shakes and taps there, I move down to the cheekbones, a few taps here as well. Then down to the place just below the collarbones, tapping alongside the bone where you feel the soft tissue, just underneath alongside the bone, using my right fingertips underneath the right collarbone and vice versa on the left side.
Then I switch to using just one hand and I tap very gently on the thymus gland on top of the sternum. This stimulates the gland itself and supports the immune system. It opens up our heart and our willpower.
Think of it like when Tarzan pounding his chest to get the energy he needs. Then I go back to the two hands and I tap with my fists very gently on the side of the body, just about the level of where your bra sits underneath the breasts. Tap up and down the sides of the ribcage to stimulate the internal organs from this side.
Then moving with the fists down to the groins, tapping very gently around the lymphatic system here. Then I bend forward and tap gently on the back alongside the sides of the spine to release tension in the lower back. As I gently shake the knees to add some more movement to the tapping.
It all feels so very refreshing and sets the tone of the day. So let's start. Before we begin, make sure you empty out any liquids from your body.
And then allow yourself to stand in your space with your feet just a little bit wider than your shoulders and hips apart. And shaking starts from the earth upwards. So take a deep breath in.
And as you exhale, visualize roots from the bottom of your feet going down into the earth. Inhale. And exhale again, visualizing roots from the bottom of your feet going down into the earth.
Again, let's breathe in. Exhale those roots going all the way down to the center of the earth. Then you can repeat this breathing and visualization several times and connect to the vibrational life force of the earth.
Next time you inhale, invite the life force energy up through the roots into your feet and ankles and begin to shake. Allow the knees to gently shake as the rest of the body relaxes. And each time you inhale, you invite that life force energy to come up from those roots, inhaling it up into your feet and into your ankles, into the knees and shake.
And breathing in the life force energy through your feet as you inhale. As you exhale, let go of any tension or tightness in your abdomen, your neck and your shoulders. Relax your mouth, your eyes, maybe even closing your eyes.
And shake. Feel free to make any sounds. This will help you to release any blocked energy.
So as you exhale, sigh out. And then initiate your tapping. Allow your intention, whatever it might be for you right now, right here, and welcome all of who you are into the space, into this very precious moment.
And shake. As you direct your attention to your intention, start tapping it into you. Tapping on top of the eyebrows.
Shake. Tapping with the tops of the fingertips, over the eyebrows, into your brain. Tap your intention in there, imprinted into your brain, into your head.
And moving to your cheekbones, tap here. Breathe. Shake and tap.
And then moving with your fingertips down towards the collarbones, underneath the collarbone. Tapping alongside the collarbone, just underneath it where you find a soft tissue. Tapping alongside the collarbone, just underneath it where you find a soft tissue.
Tap, tap. Then just using one hand, tapping on top of the sternum, very gently. Then forming fists with your hand, tapping underneath the armpits, along the sides of the ribcage, up and down.
Tap, tap. Shake, shake. And then moving with the fists down to the groins, tap very gently here, up and down the groin area.
Same time, shake your knees gently. And then a slight forward bend. Tap onto your lower back and alongside the spine.
Releasing any tension here, it's quite a sensitive area. A lot of energy is going into this area. Quite sensitive area.
A lot of energy can be stored in this specific place. So be gentle. And as you tap, keep on shaking.
Allow and take time for a few rounds of the tapping until you sense the intention to be imprinted into your body, into your mind. So keep on tapping. Breathing.
And shaking. Starting over the eyebrows, then the cheekbones, then underneath the collarbones, then on top of the sternum, then using the fists alongside the sides. And down towards the groins, and then slightly bending forward, tapping alongside the spine.
And take your time. This is your body. This is your moment.
And then when you feel that you have that imprinted into your body, you can release the tapping and relax your arms alongside the body as you keep on shaking. And it might feel that you are forcing the shaking. That's fine.
But see if you can shake each part of your body open. Just keep on shaking. And breathing.
Releasing any tension in your abdomen, pelvis. Then after some time, maybe you can feel that the energy can start to feel like it's spontaneously moving through you. And it feels almost like it's moving through you.
And it feels almost like you are being shaken. Keep on inhaling and exhaling, shaking off any tension or tightness. And not forgetting that sounding as you exhale.
Allow you to release that tension even more. Shake, shake. And now let the shaking rise up through your body.
As you shake, you may begin to feel even pleasure. And welcome it. And feel it.
Even you can distribute it. Let the pleasure power up your shake even more. Yes, shake.
And let it rise up through your body. And now breathe it into your hip joint. Release any tension here.
Move your body left and right. Shake your body. Shake your hips right and left.
Right and left. Yes, shake, shake. Breathing life force energy into your pelvis to shake loose any contraction or tension here.
I feel the pleasure of being alive. Feel vibration, the energy. Let it begin to shake you.
Let the shaking take over. Yes, shake. Bring it into your spine and let the awareness of you rise up every vertebrae by vertebrae.
Bring it up the spine. And feel your organs relax. Feel the shoulder blades.
Shake them loose. And then shake right down your arms into your hands and unclench your fists to shake them out. Shake your hands up.
I can even rise the hands over your head. Shake. And bring the hands down back alongside the body.
Now come.
